Watch out for dakes. They're everywhere on that site (they should be pretty easy to spot, PM me if you want a hand.) _________________

except of course the xbox does have a download in background while "off" option, unless they removed it recently. |
Yes, but he wasn't talking about the 360. Also it isn't really "off"... |
technically the PS3 is never off, it switches to standby when you power off, so it could, really, download while in standby. obviously it'd use more power but still

I meant standby, not off (habit of calling it off when pressing the PS button and choosing the "Turn off console").
I have a 360 so that would explain why I thought the PS3 has that feature too, would be nifty to have *hints Sony*. _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

Well normal warranty I believe is 12 months, so without Apple Care I'd say it's highly unlikely they will replace or fix it for free. _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

Is it the bottom part of the case?
If so, and it was purchased after October 2009, do this:

Nah, its on the top half of the macbook, sort of like cracking from the hinges. _________________

I raised this question a while ago but now it's happening so I'll ask it again.
Cancelling my contract with Vodafone - does anyone have any advice? Even better, has anyone done it before?
I just imported the Galaxy S 2 and will be going to Telstra on a BYO plan, I have no intention of joining any other network. I'll pay extra if it means better quality, the money I saved with Vodafone hasn't been worth the inconvenience.
My contract with Vodafone ends in September/October of this year so there's not long left, just want to get it scrapped ASAP.
Any help is appreciated, cheers.

So two of my mates are heading to the goldie next weekend and are staying at Jupiters, they said if I drive them I can crash in their room with them. They've only paid for themselves though but think it'd be alright and easy to just sneak me into their room. I don't really know anything about Jupiters so, would this work? Could I possibly pay extra to be allowed to stay in their room? _________________

Usually you can pay extra for a hideaway bed if the booking on the room says it's for 2 people only.
However, so long as there's a couch or you don't mind the floor, I've never known anywhere to check rooms of a night to make sure of numbers. _________________

Sneak away my good friend. It's not like you're going to be spending much time in the room anyway, with the casino downstairs and the Broadbeach clubs literally across the road. The rooms are accessible from the lifts on the main casino floor (through keycard attached to your room of course), and aren't regularly monitored (you don't need to pass any security or receptionist desk to get to your room). As long as you're not blaring music and making lots of noise you should be fine. Rooms are pretty tiny with no couches last time I went, so you might want to bring something soft to roll out on the floor. Though this is going back a few years, I can't see things changing much since then.

Berried Android?
Nah I've never seen a thread, iPhone one had been used on occassions but we got enough Android users now that could get some use out of it's own thread. _________________

Now that there's a mobile section of the site, maybe there should be a mobile forum? Would it get enough use? I might query it.

I have a suggestion for the forums.
Maybe combine Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo/General into Console forum that includes their handhelds and then merge the PC Gaming into PC/Smartphone topic?
This will kind of solve a bit of multi-platform issues for games (when games turned multi-platform) and that way you can have games that supports the Linux and the Mac OSes in PC/Smartphone? Also, a lot of titles these days are mutli-platform, which makes the General topic quite busy in comparison to the Sony/Microsoft/PC forums. _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

I don't get why you want to lump phones in with the PC?
How is a generic "Console" section better than a generic "General" section?

Any particular requirements on that request? _________________

Clear picture, works well in different lights, around the $20 dollar mark, just the normal stuff. _________________

True, it was to make it look busy with more forums .
A generic Console section would be most ideal _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

That's kinda what the General Gaming talk section is.
On the entire first page, there is only one thread unrelated to consoles. _________________
