OK not sure if anyone is still around to give me any advice. I want to learn how to paint. I am studying graphic design at uni and am quite creative and good at photoshop etc, but my painting has always been pre-school level. I would really like to take a course on this in the Brisbane area (south) as I am probably not motivated/good enough to start solo. I've looked online and found places, but what I'm really after if a recomendation from someone trusted and tips and what to do/what not to do for a complete newbie.
Thanks! _________________

what kind of painting? Oils, Water Colours, Pastel? They're all pretty different skill sets. _________________

I find the easiest to start off with is water colours, it's also the cheapest, you can buy a set of water colour paints for like 10 bucks and muck around in a thick paged art book easy. _________________
