Looks like a really cool concept. I won't say much here, better to watch the trailer without any pre-conceptions. Watch before scrolling down.





















Basically as it turns out, it's a black comedy. Curious to see what they do with the concept.
That shot of the Nazi saluting in front of the flag is eery as hell, really disturbs me for some reason.

Haha, I've known about it for a while and have been pretty excited (I could have swore I made a thread ages ago when the firs trailer got came out)

It's actually a really interesting story about how the movie got made though.

Basically it's the first in this new wave of crowd sourced cinema. They put up a teaser ages back and then people donated to the cause to get the movie made as well as people from all over the place donating their talents (CG artists, sound mixers etc) Honestly I'm actually more excited about how this could change the way cinema is made then the actual movie (Although I'm pretty fucking pumped about the movie too)

If anybody ever saw the Star Wreck shorts (or the full length movie) It's done by the same finnish guys. The lead actor in the Star Wreck is the lead CGI guy for example. It was also partially filmed in Australia, so I hope it does well for them

I just noticed that only the first teaser was posted, there's actually a number since then that use actual footage from the movie... went to link them but apparently I'm not smart enough to work out how to embed youtube videos on these forums icon_smile.gif

I heard about this a long while back, then forgot the name. First time I've seen any sort of trailer though, and it looked pretty good. Right until the bird started shitting. I dunno - think I was expecting it to be more serious. Might still be good. Will keep an eye out for it - seems like 2012 is going to be a good year for movies (I initially wrote "2011" then was like :O)

Nazis on the moon! What could be more brilliantly bonkers than the lunatic premise of satirical sci-fi action comedy Iron Sky? Sadly, Finnish director Timo Vuorensola fails to make the most of his conceit.
