Sims 2? It's cheaper, more likely to run properly and leaves you room to give her another gift of Sim 3 later!

I've only had a little experience with the two on PC but I would say go with Sims 3.

Sims 3 feels more like a world than Sims 2 because Sims is kind of like a sanbox game.

The Sims 3. You can get horses and ride them as well as do show jumping and other horse related events icon_smile.gif

Sims 3 is the most refined of all of them, and its the current one so expansions are still being made for it so it keeps her ahead of the curve in that way. icon_smile.gif The game world is in one big continuous map so theres only one loading screen when you start the neighborhood and none after that (Sims 2 had soo many loading screens that all took ages) and it has a story progression feature so all the sims in the neighborhood carry on with their lives (in sims 2 all other homes remained static as you played one home)

Sims 3 is really the best Sims base game so far icon_biggrin.gif
