What's the chance of getting a game? I've done 17 achievement thingies so far and I have 12 coal and 6 coupons. I'm not going to craft my coal because knowing my luck I'll just get another coupon.

Well chance of getting a game seems to be very rare.
Done 36 Objectives
23 Coal
12 Coupons
2 Games (that I already owned)
Games were The Orange Box(?) and Shadowgrounds Survivor

Got the B.M.O.C. for Team Fortress 2. Seems to be worth a bit, so I'm gonna see what I can get for it 
Someone got offered The Orange Box + Counter Strike Source + AaAaaAaAAA!!! + 2 coals for it. Hopefully I can get some decent game that is recent-ish.

Throw it up on the Team Fortress 2 Trading forum on Steam. I got a pretty good response there.

Carnage has been much less than last year, probably because I had only a handful of Steam games prior to last years sale and all the 'bargain prices' made me go berserk.

Alice: Madness Returns
That's it. Mildly tempted by Grid at 3.50 as I don't have any racing games on PC. Is it any good?

In other news, I'll never get that last (frustrating) hour of my life back while playing Magicka for the achievement. Ughh what a terrible game.

I feel sorry for the suckers who bought Super Meat Boy for cheap, thinking it was a free achievement.
On the flip side, I wish someone told me about Jamestown earlier, I absolutely adore Bullet Hell shooters.

Heads up everyone, Valve has run out of third party keys and coupons to give away according to a post made on their forums by a staff member.
This means all further gifts both crafted or as a reward for achievements will be for Valve games only.
Do not craft your coal unless you don't already own all their games. Like Ricochet.

I've just finished up on the objectives for the sale...
Did 65 in the end, and ended up with 4 games to show for it, 2 that I didn't already have 
From Dust
Runaway - A Road Adventure (had)
Section 8
Audiosurf (had)
Also have 21 vouchers and 4 coal remaining
I think the only one I didn't do for a game I already owned was Super Meat Boy.... took one look at that and skipped it... didn't even bother to load it

The Super Meat Boy one would of been fine if it was to beat only one of the levels. But to beat all in one sitting, you'd have to already be pro at the game, and it definetely wasn't something that someone who was farming achievements could get.
To be honest, I don't care for the coupons or free keys. All I want from the Coal crafting is the TF2 hats.
Don't judge me.

According to EdmundM's formspring it was meant to be the single-level achievement for the gift pile, and Steam screwed up and put the wrong one in.
