You're right, this is ruining the delicate narrative structure of a series wherein a 10 year old child is sent out to capture a bunch of superpowered monsters inside tiny balls. _________________

Have you ever heard the saying that a fictional universe doesn't need to make sense only be internally consistent? _________________

Sure they can. Heaps of them do. But 1st, who gives a shit if a good game comes from it, and, 2nd, and much more relevantly - in what world is a badass Pokemon combined with a badass Samurai Warlord not an amazing idea anyway?
The only counterargument you've given me is that it doesn't fit in the logical consistencies already established in a world where a common bird/rat/squirrel/houseplant/pile of goo/collection of magnets could battle against, and conceivably beat, pure embodiments of time, space and the god of the whole damn universe. Is the idea of Mewtwo coexisting with a bunch of samurai(which, incidently, could very well exist at the same time Mewtwo does, considering there has never been anything within the Pokemon universe to suggest that samurai warlords DON'T exist at this time) any more ridiculous than that, and, again, much more to the point, who gives a flying fuck if it is?

This game is clearly not canon, Benza. They can do whatever the fuck they want. _________________
