Excellent review. I'll be picking up my copy as soon as I can. Truly this generation has seen a incredible resurgence in genuinely good platformers, especially on the 2D front. _________________

gotta wonder when you say steep difficulty, are we talking regular difficulty or are we talking like super meat boy, die 500 times trying to accomplish something difficulty? _________________

Difficulty which would prevent an inexperienced or younger gamer from being able to keep up. Seasoned platforming veterans won't have too much trouble on their own. In other words, not like Super Meat Boy.

Do want this, but can't justify $70+ on it with all the other titles out this November. The wii version is cheaper, apart from video scaleing is it any different? Also, any reports on the 3ds version? _________________

Cool was a little worried it would put my girlfriend and housemate off playing it if it was that hard. Gunna be a toss up between getting Zelda and this then I guess. _________________

I'm having a blast with this game so far. Looks absolutely gorgeous in 1080p, and the soundtrack is adorable. The platforming elements are tight and precise. It's one of those games where simply moving around is fun.
The variety of areas, elements, and ideas is simply mind-boggling. Just when you think you've seen everything the platform genre has to throw at you, each successive level in this game completely defies your expectations.
Don't think I've enjoyed a 2D platformer this much since the SNES days, to be honest. _________________

Those are some very big words
This game wasn't on my list... until now. Full proper HD... what's the best going price?

Going to pick this up now... it's 20 quid on Zavvi which should amount to $33 or so for the PS3/360 version. Sounds like a good deal.

Well... I did pick it up, at 15 pounds on Zavvi. Agreed 100% with the review, it is truly fantastic.
As to the difficulty, I've had heaps of fun playing with my four year old son. There are times where he can't keep up but the 'bubblizing' and tapping back in mechanism make it easy for him to join back in when things calm down.

Yeah i grabbed the 15 pound version on PS3 from Zavvi. Still waiting for it to come in the mail, massive fan of 2d platformers. Like the quirky humour as well. _________________
