I've been playing a lot of Mario Kart lately and it got me thinking to the near future. The two most recent games in the series have each had sixteen courses from classic Mario Kart games, effectively making each two games in one - so which courses will make the cut for Mario Kart 3DS? Will we see a retro Rainbow Road make it in? Will courses from Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart: Super Circuit be included, considering how few were in Mario Kart Wii's Retro GP? Is it wishful thinking to see courses from Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 in the game (probably, but a guy can dream, can't he?)? So I thought I'd post the first in a series of four polls to find out which courses from each 3D Mario Kart game is your favourite, and you may also share which courses from Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart: Super Circuit you like to race. All those Mario Kart fans in these forums, here's your chance to shout out your favourite course! _________________ A man ties three huge balloons to his shirt. Amazingly, he floats! You know what would be epic? After completing the 4 new course cups, and then the 4 retro cups, you unlock the Rainbow Cup. The rainbow cup consists of 4 different Rainbow Road courses.

Whaddya mean not fun?
I always make it my goal to be unbeatable on rainbow road levels and this would make it mega awesome. I enjoy the rainbow road courses, of course. _________________ "If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you."

Agreed. On the Wii version, Rainbow Road is probably my strongest course.

There cannot be people that actually like Rainbow Road on Kart 64. I refuse to believe it. That 6+ minute long borefest is terrible, and one of the worst Mario Kart tracks ever. It should be a federal offense to like it. _________________

Don't care.
Its 6 minutes long. Outside of that cool hill bit that drops pretty suddenly, and you can go off the edge if you aren't careful, the rest of it is awful. Nothing happens. You can't fall of the edge. It stinks. Indisputable fact. _________________

But...the theme song...the eye-candy...the giant rainbow ring...the low-gravity...the Chain Chomps...it's perfect...well, except for the fact that it's so long (according to the original instruction booklet it's exactly 2000 metres long ), and after a while eye-strain sets in (too much eye-candy can cause an eye-candy-rush or an eye-candy-crash ). I must admit that the MK Wii Rainbow Road is the pinnacle of...Rainbow Roads ...but Mario Kart 3DS' Rainbow Road could top that one by a wide margin! _________________ A man ties three huge balloons to his shirt. If you're taking 6+ mins to do a lap, then you're doing it wrong. The jump to the other side of the track should be second nature after a few runs. _________________

They should just remake the 64 version. It's the greatest Mario Kart game I have ever played. _________________

In a way they've already remade 50% of it...if they have another four courses and a battle arena in MK 3DS, consider 75% remade _________________ A man ties three huge balloons to his shirt. Rainbow Road is indeed a great track but i voted for Wario Stadium, with all the jumps and all that, its just a great track and its fun to play on. _________________

I wonder which retro Bowser Castle(s) will make it to MK3DS. Personally, I'd vote for the GCN Bowser Castle. _________________ A man ties three huge balloons to his shirt. Amazingly, he floats! Ok, I couldn't find another different thread for Mario Kart 7. I probably missed it.
Anyway, IGN has an article that tells us the Track List. There are also some videos of some of the newer tracks.
Hooray for SNES Rainbow Road!!
