This dashboard has really grown on me, still needs a few minor things but otherwise it's pretty awesome. It also looks great too!

ah yeah, i am pretty sure that the yanks get actual ads when they start their xbox, a person in that thread was explaining that they get ads for like old spice and shit, video ads.
So i don't know if that would do much on our end at this point

Na that's okay, I don't want ads completely removed because sometimes I see things I like and I wouldn't want to miss anything important. I just wish MS wouldn't advertise over the top and with the same things constantly like Zumba, Kinect Central, CoD, Foxtel, Halo Waypoint, etc.

Since the dashboard update my 360 no longer recognizes my wireless adaptor. I'm guessing its because it's a 3rd party model from eBay. It worked great until now. Bastards.

That's pretty nasty.
I'm really liking M$'s direction here with the new dash. If the 360 does end up being a complete media hub, I'm all for it. The new media channels are looking slick. The SBS channel is particularly awesome. The NineMSN is complete rubbish though, who the hell would use that?

nah that is a separate...beacon tells people you want to play game x.
it now automatically says such and such started playing game x when they start a game

Yeah my mate set a beacon on NBA 2k12, so when I loaded up the game it pops up saying xxxx wants friends to play this game.
ThunderCurls is just stuck with half his friends list jumping online and then being told they are now playing Skyrim.

So while on holiday I spent a big of time in front of the ol' white fun box. I discovered the iView and SBS apps. They work really well and stream flawlessly at a decent res. Last night watched a couple of eps of Voyage to the Planets, which is a flipping sweet show about the solar system.
Add free TV FTW!

I have one of those mini keyboards for my controller, makes searching in youtube a lot easier. Couldn't imagine doing it without.
