Hope you don't mean battle system. If they change to XIII's battle system, I won't be happy. Don't want the sphere grid to change, either. Or Blitzball. Actually, I just hope that rumour is altogether wrong.
It would, however, explain why it's just FFX and not including X-2 or XII.

Kind of annoying. I would have perfered VII to get the remake with the XIII engine.
Having said that, I think X has the best story in the series.

The news that this is a remake is two months old and was already debunked. Square clarified that this game is a reMASTER, not a reMAKE. That is to say, same shill as every other "Classics HD" game.
And I mean seriously, of all people, you thought Square Enix would do this? Square Enix business plan is to spam you with as much cheap crap with a popular brand name as they can, not waste time and money developing something anyone wants.

I'd buy it on day 1! FFX-2 is my favourite FF game, thinking about it in HD with trophy support...

I got Unlimited Saga PS2 game (it was a bad game) just for the bonus Prologue FFX-2 DVD

More FFX-2 love! The ATB combat system in X-2 might be the best in the series, and the job system was superb. This was a case where the story and characters may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the gameplay keeps you going until the end.

FFX-2 deffinitely isn't my favourite but it would be my 3rd favourite.FFVIII would be my 2nd favourite.

Definitely! The story and characters were pretty good, but they just can't compare to FFX. The gameplay was amazing though, much better than FFX, and still the best battle/job system in a FF game imo. FFXIII recaptured a fair bit of FFX-2's greatness though, the paradigm shift system is a similar idea.

Personally I like FFX's gameplay the best of all FF's.I loved the side bar that showed who would have their turns in order and how you could switch chsaracters in and out whenever you wanted and how each character had their own enemy types they were good at like Tidus being good against fast fast characters.
I also think the sphere grid is the best leveling up system of any FF.
But I would probably say that FFX-2 had the second best gameplay.

I must have played Blitzball alone for a hundred hours or more.My proper playthrough was over 365 hours.
