Well, I reckon I can safely say I'm not the only one who is an extreme level of excited for this game, although until further details come out, which could be a long time .
Especially since they haven't even started development of it. *sigh* (The guy is still working on Kid Icarus, but once that finishes, I assume it'll be SMASH BROS time)

I guess we can just sit and wonder about what we'd like!

And for those who don't wanna read all of the below stuff, I've put all further suggestions in this first post and will continue to do so. Any suggestions, just post em here and I'll add em. So lets get started!

Well first of all, better online play, that's a gimme.

Second of all a lot of really good, diverse and fun stages to play on!

Thirdly, A Better.... 'story' mode I guess you'd call it, Subspace Emissary was interesting, but I found it unplayable apart from it being the easiest way to unlock all the characters. Classic and Adventure were really fun though, keep them!

Fourthly. NO MORE TRIPPING! Yes it's realistic, but it's not fun and it can ruin matches. There is enough of a luck element in this game already!

Fifthly. These characters please, If not all of them, at least a 1 from each series (BTW I will be including characters that supposedly were going to be in this game but were dummied out last minute, or first minute... or whatever):

My only complaint about Brawl (and a big one for me personally) was that it simply didn't cater to proper Tournament play unlike Melee. Brawl was significantly slower than Melee and some of the crazy advanced techniques were replaced with significantly easier to pull off versions or taken out entirely.

I loved Melee to death and would pour endless hours of perfecting these split second stuff in normal battles, as well as in Break the Targets/Race/Multi Man, etc.

And yes, a Golden Sun character would be nice.

Im one of those people that competitive Smash players hate

. Tons of items, wild play and mania.

For that reason, I like Brawl more than Melee. All I really want from Smash is more. More more more. More characters, more stages, and more 'stuff'. I hope Smash 3DS/WiiU follows suit. I want more characters, more assist trophies, more items, more stages, MOAR.

Dixie would be awesome, and her hair could make for new moves and not just a Diddy clone.

I want to see another Metroid character. Its hard because Ridley is so huge it might not look right scaling him down. Maybe a Chozo warrior, or a Space Pirate. Something Metroid would be great.

In terms of third party characters I want Travis Touchdown!

Silver I only threw in there because he was in the background in Brawl, I pretty much put in that list everyone who was a possibly playable character who featured in Brawl anyway, as well as a few related characters.

I agree with Jarrod, except I like to play that way competitively with friends, Items were put in the game for a reason, using them effectively requires a certain amount of skill, and players have equal chance of getting lucky. The only thing about items I don't like is that Smash balls show up WAY too often to be special, it was pretty much a common easy insta-kill move.

But anyways, I love the chaos that smash bros gives, Organised chaos. I think it's alot more fun than the 'tourny' players who are all NO ITEMS, FOX ONLY, FINAL DESTINATION.

EDIT: Also, Dixie and Funky would be VERY welcome additions. Funky FUNKY! would be awesome. Maybe Kiddy too, I always liked Kiddy but i'm in the minority on that one.

EDIT: vvv I think one of those was called Novis, he was the bomb, had an awesome morph ball equivalent, turned into a bladed spinning top. Epic.

Anyway, i'm gonna add all these to the list!

For metroid characters you could always go with the other bounty hunters from metroid prime hunters on the DS.

These guys were cool.

Also I don't give half a shit if it pisses off gannondorf players, GIVE HIM HIS FUCKING SWORD! Prefferably his light sword wrapped in an old rag from Twilight Princess.

Here's a few characters that probably will get the Smash treatment:

Ryu Hayabusa - If the Tecmo/Nintendo relationship continues, it makes perfect sense. Just without the blood, of course ... or will it?

Rayman - Another character that would fit in perfectly within the medium. The Rabbids may also get a look in.

And just for the fun of it: Ezio.

Also, I'd call it Super Smash Brothers Uproar.

I have nothing against items and casual play in the Smash series. I love turning on only Pokeballs on high and having all 4 players choose only the Pokemon characters, or retarded Smart Bomb battles with the Starfox gang for Reflect happiness.

I just hope the next installment caters to both sides like they did with Melee. I'm one of the rare breeds of Smash players that can play competitively at a tournament level, but mess around to the point of annoyance and pure fun by spamming Din's Fire or some other move/item.

The one thing I can count the next Smash bros to have is a phenominal score. Brawl had one of the most robust and diverse soundtracks I've ever seen (full orchestra!), and I look forward to how they mix things up.

I'm annoyed at myself it took this long to click in my head. If at all possible, Razputin from Psychonauts would be a PERFECT addition, he's got everything you already need, his moves are already the exact style smash bros needs!
Also, it would be perfect advertisement for Psychonauts 2!!!!!

Alas, in a perfect world. But still, Raz would be perfect. Admit it.
