Don't know what game you played Slipvayne, but mine had dedicated servers based in Aus from day one.
Sad to see the Trauma Studios (Desert Combat!) guys go through another shut down, not having bad luck since being overtaken by EA, used to develop BF2 mod tools, and getting shut down immediately after, and now this after reforming as Kaos.

I cant speak for the PC gamers out there, but the consoles didnt have enough (if any At ALL)servers. The hotest topic still to this day at the homefront forums is about the lack of servers
