They are certainly liable for letting something like this happen. You can't sugarcoat it and just blame the evil hackers.

If a bunch of hacker nerds didn't have a major cry session because Sony removed other OS (which most people don't give a damn about) and took their freedom (some hackers claim that) and had Sony sat on their arse and let geo douche and any other hacker do as they pleased then this wouldn't have happened.
It's not Sony's fault a bunch of nerds couldn't handle not having their way like a bunch of snot nosed kids.
That's the problem with the kinds of hackers who have cause this.There's 2 kinds of hackers, thouse who hack just for fun like making SNES games playable on a PSP and then there are the hackers that are wimps who get a power kick from being a bunch of douche bags and ruin things for others to prove their "superioroty." The latter hackers are the ones that suck.
I'm sure that taking down a company like Sony makes these hackers feel like Gods amongst men.
The fact (figure of speech, not actual factual evidence) is Sony is paying for having the balls to stand up to these tossers.
If it is found out that it was Sony that was really the cause for this I will blame them. But till then I am going to blame who I consider responsible for this.

Though it's probably the month that they don't put anything good up.
They are handling it pretty good though, i'm impressed.

Doesn't PS+ allow you to download certain games free? Or is it just a discount? I think they also mentioned free software, which is TBA by region.

PRetty sure you can play the free games only while holding a PS+ account, so if you buy a subscription you can continue to play the game you downloaded during the free period. There are also games to be purchased at a discount rate when you subscribe.

Anything that is offered for free will expire as soon as your PSN+ subscription ends.
Anything discounted will remain yours.

its a marketing ploy to get everyone in using plus I'm sure there will be quite a few that will sign up afterwards. I'd prefer something else to be honest this to me is just a subscription drive
