I imported this on a whim as I had some extra cash at the time, hoping it would be a substantial upgrade to the original game (which I had trouble enjoying and didn't end up playing for very long). Sounds like I'm in for some disappointment, but I'm a FF whore so I'll give it a crack anyway _________________

I loved the original and as you've guessed, I'm loving this one.
Some of the changes though feel like they've been programmed by a graduate recruit; they work but aren't very accurate and feel sloppy. For example when trying to open chest in the world map, it often misses the chance to open it even when you're standing right next to it and it just pauses the game when you do end up opening it. Luckily the code base from the original game is strong so these don't break the game but it feels like someone who doesn't really understand how the game was programmed was creating this sequel. _________________
