I really hope the next time they come to Aus they have a concert of there own. They are a totally awesome fast heavy metal band. The closest popular band I can think of that there music is like is Slayer. If you like Slayer or similar get on the boat. |
I'm also a fan of AILD, but they don't really sound like Slayer at all. _________________ Want cutting-edge Australian video game journalism with a friendly community? Click here!

Fetid, I listened to a bunch of the albums you listed way back on page 1. For the most part I thought it was all pretty good, so thanks for the tips.
Animals as leader I already had, but it is sweet.
Coroner took me a few listens to get into but quite liked it after that.
Ghost reveries is pretty outrageous. Definitly one that improves with a few listens, I can see why you put it at number 1. Even if it's one of the least 'metal' albums on your list
Still can't seem to get into megadeath. I don't dislike it but would usual prefer to listen to somthign else.
Goober, I also listened to some of the stuff you posted but can't remember what I liked. Thanks for the recommendations anyway
edit: Kurupt, I just realised you listed Deathklok in your favs _________________ Da Bessssss

yeah coroner are a sort of had to be there bands, they were pioneers back in the day, slowed it down and got a bit funky.....i don't mind if something is not straight metal, i prefer things that aren't just straight rawwwwrrr....
i only like early megadeth, i like his take on guitar playing, it is somewhat mad.
I am glad someone else like ghost reveries, i don't even like opeth haha...
go back and listen to that solo on serpent moves on that grin album, bliss _________________ kill, kill, kill.....the white man. Kill the white man, kill

They sound like Slayer to me. |
Haha, touche! But seriously, even covering a Slayer track they sound nothing like them. _________________ Want cutting-edge Australian video game journalism with a friendly community? Click here!

Holy shit! Best gig of 2011 right there. Guitarist started off a bit slow but gradually improved, Garcia's voice is still incredible. Probably the best crowd I've seen at The Palace too. No complaints from me, I just feel sorry for everyone who missed out on tickets. _________________

Aaw man, has anyone seen that crap lineup for Soundwave Revolution. Full of yuck emo crap... except then mine eyes see GOJIRA on the lineup. Now I want to punch every emo I see even more than I did 12 seconds ago. _________________ I'd be apathetic, but I can't be arsed.

Which attitude? Wanting to punch emo's? You know I'm being sarcastic right?
Actually it's only 50% emo crap and 45% crap. At least Heavy Devy is playing. _________________ I'd be apathetic, but I can't be arsed.

Not saying this applies to anyone here, but people who go out of their way to bash on emos usually have horrendous taste in music (eg they'll bash on an emo and then listen to As I Lay Dying or Bring Me The Horizon or some other baby metal).
