Hehehe. If you think you 'finished' it, you're in for a big surprise icon_razz.gif.

Yeah, I know that the end is the halfway point. They pulled the same cheap and nasty level remix crap with Galaxy 2's green stars. Expected as much.

WOW. Awesome. Cute. Little handheld 3D Mario in my hands.

Wish it was on a huge screen with a huge controller but hey, cute.

Given that there's plenty of brand new stuff, cheap and nasty is the last thing I'd call it.

That's not the last thing you would call it, Jarrod. I know something that is even more "last thing you would call it" than that.

Halo.

Wow I did not expect this game to play so well....in 3D. They have done an amazing job with this game. Graphics and style is brilliant. It feels like an evolution of Mario 64.

I don't know why Nintendo feels like it needs a 2nd analogue anyway.

If you mean the dongle they're bringing out, it was probably because third parties were having a whine about it.

I'm eight worlds down and the game is absolutely fantastic. Insanely gorgeous graphics too.

3D is incredible. I can have this game on full 3D without any strain. And it really adds a lot to the gameplay.

Having the Zelda puzzle complete fanfare in a Mario game is win.

I really love the Boomerang Flower, but the Tanooki Suit is far too useful to not carry around as one of your items in every level.

Game is on the very easy side unfortunately, despite having terrific level design. 100+ lives at world 4.

Agreed, but it's also pretty deceptive. The post game content essentially doubles the game size and it is then the difficulty really goes up a notch.

I think I'm in love with this game. It's actually pulling me away from Skyrim, and I thought that was a tough game to follow on from. Man, was I wrong. The Bowser battle at the end was amazingly epic, and a nice touch of humour too. Just diving into the second wave of content, it's really enjoyable. And like LeonJ said, I think this is the first game I've played with the 3D on full the entire time.

What about the dust effects in the desert level? Seriously, that effect was more impressive than anything I've ever seen on PC or console.

I think I'm enjoying this game more then Galaxy 2, which I loved. It just feels like a *real* Mario game if you know what I mean. I'm digging the level designs, short but sweet.

This game makes me really excited for a HD Wii U title. Please Nintendo make it a true sequel to Mario 64!

These remixed worlds are amazing! I was expecting them to feel pretty much the same as the original worlds, so I wasn't sure how much I'd be into playing them. But they really do feel completely different, and they are a lot harder. This game is amazing, I'm definitely thinking that it's my GOTY.

I can't believe how superior the remix worlds are. Tanooki Suit returns to it's SMB3 form, difficulty notched up a few pegs and most importantly, the levels are actually redesigned and don't take the Green Star route of SMG2. At least SMG1 had the decency to slightly remix some levels for stars 121-241.

How does the tanooki suit work in the remixed worlds? All I've managed to do is have things coming into me when I crouch, I can't manage to turn into stone.

EDIT TO CLARIFY: Once the special worlds are unlocked, there are two variants of the Tanooki powerup. The default brown leaf and the grey leaf. The grey leaf will let you turn into a statue.

The Ground Pound is replaced by the Tanooki Statue, so you can use that to deal damage and become invunerable for a short period (as long as L/R is held). It also retains it's "invisible" trait and enemies will walk past you.

Nintendo should of just made a skin of the Racoon Tail (which is what the default Tanooki Suit is in this game), instead of 2 different Tanooki powerups.

Also, unlocked Weegee.

So I just realised that gold flags actually have a purpose. I guess that means I'm gonna have to go back and make sure I've gotten them all, which I know I haven't. Also, do you need to get all the star coins and gold flags on all 16 worlds to get the save file stars?

And clear each level with both Mario and Luigi. There will be an M or L next to the gold flag icon when you select a level. Mind you, they only appear once you beat Special world 8.

My copy finally arrived today!

I am in love with this game. I played it at the Connection Tour a few months ago and wasn't particularly impressed, but man has it changed my mind! I usually don't get as addicted to Mario games as I am to this one, but it's just so much fun. As everyone says, it has such a Super Mario 64 vibe.

This game also has the best use of 3D so far. My eyes don't get strained at all, and it's just so pretty. It actually does help with judging distances too.

Finished main + most of the extended content.

Need about 3 coins, and a dozen or so yellow flags (granted, not going to finish with both Mario and Luigi for a while). Enjoyed it thoroughly, but some of the later timed levels.... hell.... think I lost about 60 lives in the space of two hours on a few levels, because I didn't go in with the right power ups and was determined to finish without them.
