I'd say WCW without the incredible amount of money - seriously how Vince managed to beat them is something of a minor miracle given the budgets both companies were at during stages of the MNW. _________________

Panda Energy {who own the majority of TNA - 70-something% of it} have nowhere near the amount of money Ted Turner had.
I do look forward to Thursdays tapings though to see how TNA book themselves out of this rut.... _________________

I still can't get over this TNA thing, seriously. I'm just astounded by the whole thing, and can't wait to know the real story.
I've dissected the video a fair bit, the ref gives the 'x' signal to a camera, to get somebody out there, hence Bischoff coming to the ring. Clearly has an agenda with all the off-mic talking, Hardy obviously wasn't in on the shortened match angle. During the main event announcement Hardy was wiping coke or something from his nose, he had residue. Super awkward cowering in the corner before a legitimate pin by Sting which Hardy was clearly trying to get out of. Broke kayfabe straight after the pin after realising what happened. Just amazed by it all and wanna see how they're gonna get themselves out of this one. I bet Sting wish he went to WWE, I'd almost predict a Wrestlemania match the year after with him in it.
Anyway, off to watch Snooki in the new Raw, it better be hilarious...

Interesting tidbit below. TNA needed to make this right. Reminds of the time WCW refunded PPV buys after Halloween Havoc 98 got shut off at the beginning of the main event. I guess we can write off the fact the situation wasn't an infamous Vince Russo shoot. Big expense for TNA to pay out though.... Not really appropriate however as most vids can be watched on YouTube:

What!?! I IQ TNA on Saturday nights anyway, but if that's true I'm devo. TNA is all I watch. WWE is still awful, despite being on the Road To Wrestlemania.
Here's hoping Fox8 get enough fans to change their mind, and perhaps timeslot/day too. _________________

Bit of a cop out offering access to tna archives for 6 months, I don't think too many subscribers would be happy with that. I reckon the next PPV should be 70% off to subscribers of Victory Road. And Jeff Hardy should be fired, full stop (sorry matth3w). Kinda is though with the court case.
I should really take some time and look at this Havoc 98 and this Vince Russo incident, don't even know who he is.
New raw getting kinda lame again. The Rock promo was pretty funny, and most of the crowd genuinely believed it was the rock who came out at the end, The Miz did a spectacular impersonation I thought, I was convinced as well till about the 10second mark when they zoomed in a bit. Stone Cold seems to be completely wasted in Wrestlemania with the a guest ref spot for the commentator match. I'd be seriously pissed off and demanding my money back if I was paying top dollar for front row seats, only to be sitting directly behind that glass piece of s*** box that Michael Cole was sitting in.
Snooki in a Wrestlemania event too, that should be funny. At the same time, they've wasted Morrison once again in a stupid match teaming up with Snooki.

Lucky, I just watch it Saturday nights. Only for the roster not the compelling story lines.
Oh and I just got a email regarding TNA: | Quote: | Thank you for your email.
I appreciate the time you have taken to contact us in relation to the TNA wrestling programming on FOX8. At this time, various parties are in discussions regarding future plans for the telecast of TNA IMPACT in Australia and there should be an outcome shortly. Once a decision has been reached, it will be communicated to our subscribers. |

The more likely home is One HD, since Fox8 seems to be happier with the PG rated WWE programming, what with late night and repeats on the weekends. Either that or Fuel TV on foxtel.

Tna, tna, tna
Just watched my first ever impact, surprised there was even less wrestling than a wwe show, more focus on the females too. Bit bummed not much was said about Hardy, the show had a funny ending, certainly didn't sound like much of an 'impact' you'll get what I mean after you watch it.

So we're less than 1 week away from Wrestlemania, time to get excited!
Mostly enjoyable final raw before wrestlings biggest event of the year. Still going to be interesting to see if The Rock does anything other than giving Cena the Rock Bottom, based on the end of raw. I enjoyed the final buildups for Undertaker/HHH and Cena. Those two matches and CM Punk/Orton are the only ones I'm looking forward to. The Lawler/Cole segments were getting beyond ridiculous, Morrison is getting wasted in the celebrity match that he's guaranteed to win, and the Del Rio alliance with Brodus Clay just seems to have happened too quickly. Who the Hell is Brodus again, and what's he doing at Wrestlemania?
Predictions:
Del Rio beats Edge
Miz beats Cena
Orton beats Punk
Corre beats Kane/Show/comic relief
All the others are totally predictable, morrison, lawler, Sheamus, and Taker with wins.
You still around Matth3w? Been waiting for your thoughts on TNA, and how's Hardy's case going?

Wrestlemania was pretty bad for the most part, Undertaker/HHH was absolutely amazing on the other hand.
Won't say much else because there isn't much to talk about.
That being said, Raw was certainly interesting.

They've already achieved over one million buys with WM 23.
I thought Mania was pretty ordinary, very reminiscent of 25 but not a terrible show by any stretch of the imagination. _________________

WM27 spoilers below:
So far I've only watched three matches; del rio/edge, rhodes/mysterio and the lawler/cole thing.
What an embarassment the Cole match was. It should've lasted 5 mins but they managed to stretch it out to 20. It was the most cringeworthy moment I've seen in wrestling, 70000 chanting 'boring' after 5 mins, yet it just kept going and going.
The disqualification was clearly just to get Josh out of the chair, and Lawler was then completely showed up with a spin-a-rooney (also to get him off commentating for the night with the inevitable stunner)
And all that Del Rio buildup was completely wasted, totally wasnt expecting that to happen. I'm glad Rhodes won though.
Guess I better go and watch the rest of it now. But so far, it's certainly a very ordinary PPV. Matches weren't even worked that great.

They used to consistently hit the 1 million buys with each Wrestlemania, but their buyrates have dropped a fair bit lately (lol $55 USD for a PPV). _________________

Fair point, I misread your point as if it was some impossible goal.
It'll be interesting to see what they do with Cena in the mean time. Right now would probably be a good time to take him away from tv for awhile. _________________

They just brought out a T-Shirt for him a few days ago, I doubt it. _________________

Taker vs Triple H was almost perfect, though I'm starting to wonder whether Taker's reaction at the end, barely able to move, wasn't actually scripted.

I'd say that's mission accomplished on their end. All part of their 'die trying' storyline IMO, which was why I was happy with the submission win too. Sets it all up nicely for a final ever Undertaker match 20-0 at the next Wrestlemania. Calling it now, against Kane.
Pretty average and mostly predictable Wrestlemania overall, it really says something about the other matches if Rhodes/Mysterio was the 2nd best match of the night. Was looking forward to a fantastic match between Sheamus and Bryant, but it was cut completely.
Miz/Cena was lame, double DQ only for Rock to come in and do exactly what was predicted, should've mixed it up a bit more than a Cena Rock Bottom followed by a quick pin.
Raw certainly interesting, very weird hearing mostly cheers for the Miz, people just really must hate Cena now since Rock has come back. Still don't understand all the 'respect' talk for him from Cena, it's still been played out such that Miz still hasn't won a single match legitimately.
Can't believe they're actually continuing with this Lawler/Cole crap on Raw, just f******g end it!

If you have enough download limit, I strongly suggest looking for the top 150 WWE matches of all time. Slowly working through them, but they're much better than anything delivered today. Complete with video retrospectives too before each match

By the sounds of Raw, it may not be over between Taker and Triple H. Although I wouldn't mind the ultimate underdog to kill the streak. Mysterio.

I thought the Cole vs Lawler match was really entertaining. It was definitely far better than Bret vs. Vince because Bret didn't actually do much. Cole did way more. I knew it wouldn't be a great wrestling match, but with Cole involved, it should have been obvious to everyone. It turned more into a comedy match and I think Cole did very on his part by showing his lack of wrestling talent, skill, and finesse. I still really hate Cole though so seeing him getting beat on for any amount of time is great in my book.
Snooki match was just... lame. Morrison and Ziggler combined got a grand total of 1 spot, iirc. All I remember is Starship Pain to the outside with Ziggler receiving it and Snooki's really horrible finish.
The main even finish honestly felt like a finish from a run of mill ppv or even a typical Raw/Smackdown finish.
Taker vs HHH obviously was no Taker vs HBK, but it had some good moments. After the tombstone, I really thought Taker was done and that he would retire. The match was pretty much all out brutality and I felt both wrestlers should have bladed, but due to PG programming, that was not an option.
My biggest disappointment was Daniel Bryan Danielson vs. Sheamus for the US Championship was turned into a dark match and even then the match was turned into a stupid battle royale within minutes. I was really looking forward to Danielson's Wrestlemania debut and he didn't properly get it.
All in all, I'm glad I split the cost of Wrestlemania with 5 friends. If I paid full price myself, I definitely would have been very mad. Wrestlemania XXVII was definitely ordinary.
As for Raw, what do you guys think of The Rock's acceptance to Cena's challenge? We have to wait a whole year for that to happen. I wonder if anyone will still be interested. I doubt I will.
