I'm playing on the 360 and it's buggy as hell.
When the game begins, I can't move for a good 10 minutes and then when it begins, I'll take about 5 steps and then end up magically back at the place where I first began - like some sort of time loop.
It's completely bizarre and renders the game unplayable...
Not the best introduction to BF...

When that happens it means your in a game with huge lag. Just exit and keep trying and you will find a smooth running game.
But yeah I find it funny how it puts you into a game with such lag in the first place. _________________

The developers put boxes you can clip through right next to the bomb point, great design!

love it how you can take out the lights, was playing this morning just shooting out all the lights i could.
hopefully there is some night levels and can take out a light in a room, making it pitch black, the someone comes and hit them with the flash light.
and the knife kills....omg the knife kills i love them, no more fraction of a second kill, love the animation. _________________

im having a similar problem on the ps3, but i dont think the controls have changed between bc2 and this, but i get the 2 bumper buttons mixed up and go to knife someone and end up throwing a grenade.
really annoying when i see a few guys up an ally and thinking the grenade would be great, but end up swiping at air, then shot haha _________________

Looks like the flashlight is the new grenade spam. It's a smart idea, blinding the opponent, but it's becoming an overused tactic already.

I am still hopeful because it is the Beta, but it is annoying as shit.

I love it personally, have no trouble fighting it, just aim and fire, the blinding effect is accurate and fun. Using it is also pretty good, and balanced by the fact it gives your position away both at a distance and in CQC as you approach a corner. _________________

I guess the good thing is, it won't be as effective in large open spaces and outdoor maps. Funny thing is, I've killed as many as those that have blinded me, in fact I nabbed a kill off someone else while his teammate flashed it on. If you aim directly at it, it's almost head height.

People need to learn to turn off flashlight in the first and last section of the map if they aren't going to change their loadout. _________________ Steam: Emilbus

Hit level 38.
Total playtime about 16 hours so far, almost at 700,000 points.
I play too much. _________________

So I gave it a shot last night.
It feels really different to what I remember of BF 2. Though to be fair I haven't played a battlefield game in years.
You seem to die really quickly though, like before you even realize you're taking damage you're dead. _________________

Played a bit over the weekend, liked it but wasn't blown away.
First off, the tac light is a horrible addition to the game. While the idea is good teh execution just dosn't seem to work. I hope that they scale it back a bit, or at least make it less powerful outside.
I'm not sure if it's just Metro, but the game has much more of a CoD feel than a BF feel. Hopefully when we get some bigger maps and some vehicles team work will become the focus and there will be less run-and-gun type of play. _________________ Da Bessssss

My greatest moment so far was on Saturday, I got shot by someone in the up stairs apartment, overlooking the street. When I respawned, I run up the stairs and to my surprise there were two guys sniping from the windows. I ran up and knifed the first guy. (I freaked at the animation, was expecting the quick cod knife kill), Then knifed the second guy as he turned to shoot me! Looked great, felt good!
Final score: 6 kills Vs 8 deaths. (That's good for me) _________________

Best moment so far was doing the run in 17 minutes. I think I only died once or twice until the last stage where the defence finally got their crap to together. Of course my squad broke through and held one of the buildings and it was all over. The final M-com was the one on the street and the final firefight was amazing as our team had around 10 guys around the M-com while bullets came from every direction as they had the high ground in the buildings and kept spawning from behind.
The one thing I dislike is the final 2 stages are the most fun to play, the 2nd last because it's hell for the offence but can still be done unlike the first which if playing against a good defence is so frustrating and the last stage is just crazy with the verticality and the fights on the streets. The last stage has this great mix of long range and short range fighting plus the backdrop of the streets is better than running through tunnels.

Not sure if just beta or my graphics card or what, but these graphical glitches I'm having is awful. I turned down some video settings from high to medium/low, selected ssao instead of the more advanced etc to get a 60fps framerate, but the graphical problems are still there. The whole ground flickers white when I run and there's little rectangluar texture strips popping up all over the screen.
I don't like the points system, they've gone the way of COD and shoving in points for everything, there is no way you should be rewarded heavily to balance out a death streak. I mustve died 6 times straight then got a couple of kills, and I had more points than others who had more kills but less deaths.
Seems as though you can spam the spawn point as a defender as well?

Battlefield is an objective based game, you could come first even with no kills if you try enough. Giving experience and rewards doesn't harm gameplay, it just gives you more to work towards as you enjoy the game. _________________

I kind of agree with both of you. I like getting rewarded for things other than kills, although I think it should be for useful team-centric play. There seems to a bit much of the XP for XPs sake.
Breaking a death streak shouldn't be rewarded, neither should avenger, or saviour kills. But resupply, healing, revive (even headshots) are actually helpful to achieving the team objectives.
One feature I like is getting a small reward (+10) for having squad members spawn on you. It promotes forward pressure on the points. _________________ Da Bessssss

The one thing that seems to be more of an advantage in this game than any other is lighting. I've had a number of kills hiding behind pillars and picking off soldiers as they enter the tunnel system thanks to the added advantage of the sun shining down into the tunnel entrance. It's very subtle, but there's that split second between moving into the tunnel from the outside and moving through the rubble where you can lose sight of what's ahead of you.

You missed one: that one guy who hides after the mcom's are taken down, picking off everyone as they enter the cave from behind.
