Geting it at the midnight launch. I like CoD campaigns but I can't see myself playing through it even once. I'll just jump straight into multiplayer.

battlefield/origin being stupid now continuously giving server disconnected errors.
*fixed* Apparently there was a mini patch that my game must have missed. Just had to run a file verification and re-proxy authenticate it. _________________

Really? I'm liking it, its very energetic, I like the way the COD games and this game do SP, its not that memorable or original and god knows war settings tend to bore me, but its scripted and laid out in such a way that it's a blast to play through once! Its the kind of game I have to play in small doses though. |
I just couldn't get into it, and I guess I'm too used to playing CoD-like campaigns that it just felt like the same thing I played a year ago with Black Ops. The story really didn't do it for me either, and most set pieces to me were really sub-par save for a few which were outstanding.
I think my biggest issue was that it felt like it was trying too hard to be like a CoD campaign, and was littered with fucking QTE's which shouldn't ever be in an FPS, ever. I dunno, it was too linear and lacked identity. It didn't feel like battlefield to me.
That being said, MP is fantastic and that's what the game is all about.
Also, this is true _________________

Why am I downloading 11 gigs worth of stuff if I have the disc? Would really suck if you just want SP.

I just don't get why I'm downloading this. What is on the disc and even more perplexing, what's on the second disc?

Just picked up the 360 version. There is no manual??? Just a warranty slip. It was a sealed copy. Was it just me?
EDIT: Just read that the manuals are only available as a digital PDF... _________________

The campaign is like a point and click adventure, minus the puzzles and interesting story.
That jet level sure does look pretty though. _________________

Cheapskates.
I had 2 full multiplayer games with very little to no lag, but during the third game the EA server went down and is still down...
Pretty happy with the graphics on the 360. In area's with alot of tree's the frame rate drops a bit. But overall not bad at all. _________________

Is anyone else finding the destruction in SP lacking? I assume MP is much better? _________________

^Not that much better, but definitely more with some random stuff happening like buildings collapsing. SP is like, total script based linearity.
I enjoy the game in MP, but it feels like something's missing. Doesn't have the impact I expected it to have considering the hype and excitement.
Still fun, but not remarkable. _________________

Got some good 64 player Caspian Border gaming in, since I missed out on that during the beta. Lots of fun.
Kinda like Denny though, the game doesn't have the impact of the hype machine around it, and I too feel like there's something 'missing' that I cant put my finger on.
Still enjoying the multiplayer plenty. The scale is amazing. Unfortunately I'm pretty crappy at the game , or it seems like there's camping snipers everywhere. _________________

Well FML, my mates said they'd get me a copy as my 21st bday present. Sounds great to me... until now, it comes out early so one of the guys picks our copies up. He's happy for me to come and grab mine, but he lives 40 minutes away!!
I'll be alone playing Batman tonight. _________________
