The gameplay in the first bit looks kinda dissapoitning, but I think that might just be the guy playing sucks.

There was also apparently this one back in january but this is the first time I've seen it going to find links for that E3 demo. So that's kinda weird.
Also yes this game looks fucking amazing. I love the clay look the characters have, like you can see the finger prints of who moulded them in there skin. It's fucking gorgeous.

We've finally got a release date! Capcom have announced that the game will be available on February 24th in Europe.

I'm confused. I figured this would be some sort of God of War / Bayonetta style brawler. Looking at the trailer it's a shmup mixed in with loads of cutscenes?

He's the god of wrath who was imprisoned for like 300 years while the other gods abducted and raped and tortured his daughter. He got out and he's fucking pissed.

It's an everything game. Heaps of different gameplay styles depending on what you're currently doing at the moment, some times it's a shmup style game like there, other times it's a brawler, other times it's a 1 on 1 combat game, other times it's all quick time events etc.

Indeed, there's a difference. He's not particularly evil, in fact he's practically righteous compared to what the other gods have been up to.

Yeah, I've rarely seen so many different types of gameplay in one game. I think it's going to kick some serious butt. The video has me rather hyped. It also helps that I'm a fan of CyberConnect2.

Anyway, this looks interesting, but I really didn't dig the intro; looked really boring gameplay wise.
That being said, a lot of the combat stuff looks pretty cool.

Did anyone give the demo a try today?
It's pretty good. From what I played i'm kinda getting a QTE Heavy Rain style vibe, where the buttons you press are relevant to what Asura is actually doing.
E.g. move stick left to control his left foot.
The demo is basically two boss fights so give it a try if you want.

^ Yeah the whole demo seemed pretty much like quick-time events, but I guess maybe that's for the bosses in the game? I enjoyed it heaps.

Am i the only one who though that everything but the gameplay was awesome? The graphics are pretty damn good (Bonus points for running on UE3 without terrible frame rate drops on PS3 - which actually occurs very often with other games), the story/characters are batsh*t absurd in a good way and the presentation was nice.
But the gameplay: So god damn boring. its like 85% QTE, 10% brawling and 5% useless rail shooter. The brawling is the only part of the game of the gameplay i liked, even though it's basically a copy/paste of the combat system in the Ultimate ninja storm series.......
If they made the story into an anime series, i'd be interested. But as a game my interest in it has died. I'll wait for budget price($20) as that's all i feel it's worth.
