Wow anyone who has not played the demo go download it now. Most under-hyped game of the year. Barley even heard of it, but it blew me away. Amazing facial animations and I love the camera angles the game uses. I believe ninja theory are great at making cinematic experiences and its a good sign for DMC fans _________________

I am stoked for the game. I played the demo and was blown away. Day 1 purchase for me.

I though it was quite good but in my opinion the movement was a bit clunky. The story seemed pretty interesting though. Also graphically it is pretty good. _________________

From the trailers I've seen it's a third person action game wich focuses on puzzle solving with two people. _________________

I thought the demo was ok, graphically it's nice but nothing that blew me away. I did like, that it was an interesting interpretation of the old "Saiyuki" story. More commonly known as "Journey To The West".
I'm more intrigued by Ninja Theory's take on the whole story. Playing the demo I noticed, there's a lot of wall climbing, hopping, ala Uncharted 2 style. _________________

When watching a trailer the game looked meh.But after playing the demo it will deffinitely buy a game somewhere along the line.
The only thing that was slightly sucky was that there is a very slight delay during jumping.Instead of your chracter seemlessly jumping there is a moment where you stop and then jump. _________________ Welcome to the internet. Where any joke can turn into WWIII.

I thought the demo was pretty good, you can tell that it's the same developer who made Heavenly Sword as the quality is pretty high with some nice motion capture animations. The story has me interested, it's actually based on the same one that the Dragon Ball series was based on. I'll probably buy a copy. _________________

honestly I couldn't give a shit about it being based on journey to the west (Does it really need another addaptation?)
But fuck, I'm buying this alone based on Alex Garland writing it.
Sunshine is one of my favorite movies. 28 Weeks is only second to days IMO when it comes to zombies. And the Beach blew my fucking mind when I was in high school. _________________

Benza's crush aside I also agree that Journey to the West doesn't need another adaption. For some reason it seems to be the go to choice for developers (and to a lesser extent Kingdoms). There are other well known Chinese classics out there and a ton of not well known ones.
It reminds me of a guy who used to walk around my uni with a translated copy of Also sprach Zarathustra and qouted it to people. I'm assuming he did it to look thoughtful and deep but it would have worked a lot better if he was qouting something that wasn't covered in every philosophy class under the sun. Such a stupid thing to do.

This game really shouldn't be flying under the radar. Not sure what Namco-Bandai are thinking.
The demo is pretty damn impressive. The gameplay is solid (albeit formulaic and taking a heap of cues from games like Uncharted) and the character models and facial animation are really stunning. The characters seem quite interesting so far, and the setting for the world is quite unique.
Yes, it's an adaptation of Journey to the West, but I'd suggest judging it on its own merits. The characters, setting, and storyline so far all seem to suggest an engaging narrative regardless. _________________

I think what made the demo so great was that I had no expectations and knew nothing about the game until I read it was being compared to uncharted.
There must be a ton of money being spent on voice actors and writers etc but nothing on advertising since everyone I know has no idea what this game is. _________________

Wish I could download the demo. Saw the trailer somewhere and thought it looked pretty sweet. Gollum directing the motion capture drew my attention.
Not a launch buy for me, though. _________________

You guys are (unintentionally?) doing a great job of promoting this game to me. I think I'm gonna set aside $90 for this game next week.

I played the demo and found it ok, but not good enough for me to buy at the moment. Especially not with Fallout: New Vegas and Borderlands GOTY edition coming out soon anyway... _________________
