Okay, I see what you mean now. I'd say definately give the trial a go - there are some levels that offer many different possibilities in how you get from point A to point B. I remember spending a few tries on one getting to figure out where to go, only to notice that I could cut out half the steps with a few tricky moves.
Also, the multiple characters offer different playstyles that are catered for in the placement of collectables (not to mention level completion time - shaved some of my Meatboys ones with Gish last night).
Anyway yeah, give trial a go _________________

Hey Karai, I tried to add you last night but realized I have no idea what your x-box live tag is.
Beat Hell, Loved the megaman intro for the next zone, had a look at the first level and fuck me that's hard. _________________

Benza, you should have a request pending from me? I assume I got it right - shambrook (megaman gamerpic and all).
Yeah, the Karai one got deactivated by those lovely fellows at MS' XBL accounts dept. 'cause I owed them $11 and they did SFA to let me know about it, then decided that instead of letting me pay it they'd just stop my account from being able to access Live at all. Sweet of them, no? _________________

That's me with the megaman gamerpic.
Never got the request. (Or I did and I'm borderline retarded and didn't see it, I really wouldn't rule that out.) I'll try adding you tonight. _________________

How do you wind up in debt to MS accounts?
Love this game, it brought up some kind of gaming euphoria I associate with my early years on the Megadrive/SNES.
Thunderforce II. To be precise. Stirs the same kind of adrenalin. Wicked. _________________

So I got this today. And it is awesome! So hard though. I've only played the first too "zone" things or whatever they are. I like how much there is too do, and with all the unlockables and the dark world levels this game is gonna last a long time!
The only thing is, I wish you didn't have to finish a whole world in one go. If you could do a few levels, then come back and do the rest and then still do the boss levels. _________________ GT: chunged

You totally can can't you? If you quit out to the map you can stop playing and the levels are all saved. _________________

Yeah, it saves between levels. Although I'm certain that I encountered a bug like that on my first run - Played through most of the first world, then went to do something else. when I came back to it the levels were all incomplete again.
Not seen that since, though. _________________

He's a boy, made of meat. Without skin. His girlfriend gets kidnapped and he tries to rescue her.
That's pretty much it.
It's basically N+ but more fun. _________________

His girlfriend is made of bandages and she is kidnapped by a fetus in a jar wearing a tux. What's not to love. _________________ GT: chunged

Oh I don't know about that. I tried the demo a few nights ago expecting to fall madly in love, but came away a bit blasé about everything.
I'm not exactly a retro/indie gamer so huge chunk of the game's appeal is completely lost on me. The gameplay was enjoyable but I felt I preferred the feel and flow of N+ more than Super Meat Boy.
It does have some clever touches like showing all of your failed attempts simultaneously in the replay, but with all that indie/retro stuff going completely over my head, I felt like I was missing out on a lot which really turned me off the game. _________________

Honestly I found it heaps more fun just on a game play perspective the N+ (I know of a lot of the indie game characters but have only really played Braid and Castle crashers)
The controlls just seem far smoother in Super Meat Boy, and I love the way that it plays out that you die 100 times on the first obstacle, then you can nail that everytime and die 100 times on the next obstacle. _________________

I think it rises clearly above N/N+ easily, purely for the way that it enables you to learn from your successes and mistakes. The way you leave blood on touched surfaces so you can see where to go to reproduce successful jumps (or avoid poor ones), and the replay mode, really make it so that you are constantly seeing evidence of your actions. Genius design. _________________

You know it only occured to me to do this after I'd allready beaten hell.
Before that I was using it when I got bored to paint as much of the level with the blood as I could. _________________

I didn't get a sense of any of that, but then again the demo doesn't really allow for it. I think the demo was more hanging it's hopes on grabbing people on it's presentation merits more than anything else. I'd assume the main appeal of the gameplay only really comes into effect when the stages get crazy difficult, which the demo stages were not.
I don't know what else I can say. The demo should have sold me but it didn't. $10 saved _________________

I say this in the nicest way possible, but that's disappointing. I find it to be one of the funnest game I've played in a while and it's a little sad when I find someone that doesn't like it.

According to raptr I've already played for 14 hours and I have only finished 100 levels, I can easily see another 50-100 trying to make it to 100% . I'm going to throw it out there and say the only XBLA game better than SMB is Trials. The only thing I think they could improve would be to include leaderboard replays.
Even when I rage quit I only ever go as far as the menu before I'm back in for one more try. _________________

yay I'm up to The End (Only 5 levels?)
Been having fun finding ways to sequence break. Managed to jump between a gap in the blades while fighting the worm boss so I could just stand on the outside of the arena and watch the worms jump into the blades, managed to skip around the outside of the castle in the first level of The End and slide under a blade that I shouldn't have. And a level in (Purgatory?) were you start off and can see bandage girl right over a gap but if you jump one of those glowy orbs pushes you down I found a way to jump through the glowy orb and skip the entire level.
[EDIT]
Oh yeah also bricks were **** when I went through a warpzone and ended up in I WANNA BE THE GUY! Playing as The Kid.
Don't do it again.
[EDIT] My bad sorry. _________________

I am so bad at trials. Seriously think the difficulty in this is so much better. Everytime I die in SMB I know its my fault. Trials I have no idea what's going on half the time. However it must be me since its the most popular xbla from what I have seen _________________
