Even though I know Fallout 2 was a more important game for its time, and arguably a 'better' game, I still prefer Arcanum. Arcanum hit way too many good notes with me.

I discovered last night that you only get to pick perks every two level-ups. RAAAAAAGE.

That seems normal to me, Hell in the early games it was (I think) every 4 levels.

Good. Fallout friggen 3 handed out perks like candy. Hell, Fallout 1/2 let you pick a perk every three levels.
I like that perks are a reward for hitting a couple of levels, not thrown at you so often.

Arcanum was a great game, though I'm not sure if I preferred it over Fallout 1 & 2. It has been ages since I played it but I do remember the game was hard and the graphics ugly
