Vikings aren't all that great because they clump up and are hit by glaive splash, so they go down fairly fast. A lot of them vs a few muta is good but yeah, not as cost effective as stimmed marines or Thors.
For Protoss you get BLINK Stalkers (key difference there, normal stalkers are lol against muta) or Phoenix. Can also go Archons but because Archons are now so bulky and expensive, not worth it.
That and just be aggressive towards a Muta player. Because they cost so much and are also so weak, they're nothing great in a direct fight (unless in HUGE numbers) and if you attack head on, Zerg cannot afford to harass your base while you pummel his and will retreat to defend, which is your window to kill them very quickly. _________________

I don't really see why you can't just put a few weeks ahead and make a rule where you can't get more than one week behind with the exception of the last week. For example I couldn't help having mine late this week.
And I think the death in interest is partly due to waiting for people to finish their rounds to set the next thing, this reduces motivation to get them done fast, just release them every Sunday (or Monday, either seems to be a good day to do it).
But yeah I'm still quite excited about this and am keen to play a heap of matches. _________________

archons just reminded me- how well would psi storming work? i'm sure it's nowhere near as effective as in sc1, but from memory mutas don't have that much health so a few decently placed storms could possibly do some decent damage to massed mutas. _________________

^it's so so. Muta's have more HP than Hydra's, so you'd need two continuously hitting Psi Storms to kill a pack. The difference though is that Muta's are highly mobile and can dodge very quickly, so it's not too effective. If the Z went purely Muta though and you have HT, use the storms anyway and try get as much damage out of them as possible, then merge into Archons. Wittling down is better than nothing. _________________

Apologies for me and Samboy not having played our match yet - was meant to be Saturday (and then last night) but miscommunication has prevented us from playing thus far.. we are now pencilled in for Friday..
Can't we start round 3 even without that result? I'll have time on Friday for my round 3 match as well. _________________

Yeah, I think if some people are a bit slow, they can play it during the next week. Shouldn't make a difference if it's a bit late.

Finally pulled my finger out of my arse and have updated the front page with the weekly draw for the next 6 rounds. Started to get pissed off trying to do the rest of the matchups with the way I have done my little table so I've stopped there for the moment.
Heading out now so don't have time to update the ladder as yet, hopefully when I get home later on. As some people are starting to fall behind in conjunction with people starting the next round of matches, from now on, I'll pick a day to update the leaderboards each week regardless of how many matches haven't been played.
So I guess people can start playing the week 3 matchups while we wait for the final game to commence from week 2.

Ok, I'll try and catch you online for the weekend. If you've got Steam, MSN, ICQ or something else (GTalk?) can you PM me the details? Then we don't both need to be idling in SC2 on the off chance we'll both be online =) _________________

Aww feeling left out? I'm always up for a friendly match or two (or three or four) =)
I think we need 13 weeks to play against everyone at least once. Very long tourney. _________________
