Man this movie looks freaking awesome. Hot, crazy women in epic action sequences. I'm kinda surprised WB is behind this though, I thought it was going to be one of those smaller indie productions.
Anyone else get a Lair and Killzone vibe from the trailers? I'm still trying to place what the giant, robot, mini-gun wielding samurai is out of though. _________________

It's Zack Snyder, he could pretty much convince them to do what he wants now. _________________

Nope. Then again I know next to nothing about Brazil. Perhaps I should put it on my "places to visit" list if they have giant, robot, mini-gun wielding samurai...? On second thought maybe not... _________________

Epic movie will probably be epic. They spent $85 million on it though, what are the chances of it turning a profit? _________________

Pretty strong I'd say Ads, 85 million isn't really that much for movies these days. It's cheaper then his last two movies (Guardians was 100 mil, Watchmen was 138 mil) _________________

do you really think they would have given him the next superman movie if they hadn't?
184 mil worldwide + 54 mil in DVD sales for watchmen gave it a profit of around of around 100 mil.
135 mil world wide + 11 mil in DVD sales for Guardians gives it a profit of around 46 mil. _________________

Never crossed my mind because I never knew, point taken.
Cheers for the stats as well, I only had access to the USA Gross of both films and was of course wondering what the global gross was. _________________

Ah the 50s. The classic era where feminism could be simply be solved with a forced lobotomy. This could be interesting. _________________
