One thing to remeber fellas is a lens doesnt just contribute to how you want to zoom, they affect image quality. Obviously the more money you spend, the better quality lens you will get.
For example, when comparing the kit lens 55-250 or whatever to say the canon 70-200. The canons quality is 10x as sharp in zoomed in.
Not to mention better f/stops, etc. _________________

MaTBoY are you giving me sh*t about my grey wall shoot? If so you can go to hell; you know how long it took me to get that exact shade!?
(I actually used imagechicken to upload them - probably worse)

Been discovering the wonders of Adobe Camera Raw? After discovering you can open it directly thru Bridge I haven't bothered opening Photoshop CS4 in weeks. _________________ My Photos

Hey guys, im looking for some automation or something... I reckon you guys can help me out..
Pretty much I want to load my pics onto the PC and then automatically add my logo thing in a corner and downsize them for web etc..
Is there a way to do this like easily and automatically? (I dont have lightroom, just CS5) _________________ http://bencadphotography.com/

Hey Bud, If you read back a bit, i wrote a little tutorial on actions for PS. Not sure if you can watermark with an action, but its worth giving it a shot.
Otherwise i just suggest having a watermark template, you can quickly paste and overlay onto any re-sized photo.
Its manual but quick enough.

@Mick Saige
I love you style, you don't blow out the colours like most people (including myself) but seem to... dial them back slightly? It works really well, gives off a sort of gothic feel, finding a shadowy, alienating quality even in seemingly mundane settings. _________________ My Photos

Any sample shots? I'm not really a fan of fisheyes though tbh. There's a time and a place for them, but I think they're used in a lot of situations that are neither of those. _________________

Where did you get yours from Zhou?
I wish my 550d would hurry up and get here. I'm a massive, massive DSLR noob. The only reason why I bought this Canon was for 1080p shooting. I come from shooting video so I haven't ever really used a camera like this for filming. I hope the learning curve isn't too steep. _________________

Its the 'premium' d90 tlk with the 18 - 55mm and 55 - 200mm lenses.
He also threw in a 35mm, battery grip, wireless remote, bag, 3 X 4gb class 4 SD cards.

Nice dude.
My kit is coming with the standard 18-55mm, two batteries and a 16gb class 10 (for filming) card.
$1200 all up. Pretty happy with it. _________________

You might find the focusing a bit more frustrating. While the implementation of video on the 550D is apparently better than ever, it's still shoe-horning a video mode onto a system that's designed to shoot still images.
You'll probably find the focus will be much less responsive for moving subjects (or if you're into hand-held filming) compared to a conventional videocamera. _________________ My Photos

Thanks for that Invivn.
By the looks of heaps of footage on youtube, the majority of people have trouble with maintaining focus. But then every so often you find people that have been able to work around the limitations perfectly. I just don't know what to expect lol.
I'm getting a 3.5mm rode mic to fulfill my audio needs. I'll post up impressions when it arrives. _________________
