No copies in Geelong yet.
The game has no official release date so the game will be put out onto the shelves as soon as they get it. _________________

Picked up my copy this afternoon from EB Robina. Wasn't impressed with the $100 price tag but it's hard to price match when noone else is stocking it yet! I'll sort that later in the week anyhow.
Frustratingly though, my keyboard never turned up today. I was guaranteed delivery today and it arrived in Brisbane at 6am this morning but never made it down here for some reason. By the time it shows up tomorrow I'll just be too relieved to see it didn't go missing to bother complaining - and too desperate to get my keytar on.
I talked to EB briefly regarding instruments as well, he said they wont stock them in store but can order them in. Not sure if that's a blanket thing besides the larger stores but they had absolutely nothing today.

It's the same thing I heard from my EB. Looks like they're just keeping them at the warehouse for online purchases and special orders. _________________

Well it looks like I won't be getting this for a while. I've decided that instead of fixing my PS3, that I'll get a job and buy a new Slim, do the hairdryer trick which will hopefully let me back up all my things, then buy this. But that is after I buy a $500 or so guitar amp, so probably not until next year :\

Any word on if a Rock Band 2 export key will get released here in Australia for PSN?
I don't really want to have to go through buying funds for the UK PSN again, like I did with the RB1 export key. _________________

If you have a UK copy of RB2 happening, you'll need to buy the UK export license anyway. _________________

Actually, you won't. I have a UK export for my AU Rock Band 1, and AU and UK DLC and it all worked on my AU RB1 and UK RB2.

Regarding Import key: Costs $9.99US or whatever equivalent MS Points. Most songs will be imported and songs will already have pro-drum support(apparently been pre-encoded into the RB2 game).
I highly doubt there's going to be an export key on the AU PSN/XBL, There is no "need" for one considering rock band 2 hasn't even been officially released in Australia........
Songs that are NOT imported from Rock Band 2 here. The Dani California and Black Hole Sun thing isn't that it's not being exported, they just not showing up in Rock Band 3 setlist. _________________

On a random note(I was checking US PSN to see if they updated cause i read it already had), i'll be damned. They finally bothered with an import key on the AU PSN. When the hell did that pop up? I remember last year that there wasn't one at all. _________________

Hey Guys
So if anyone is having trouble exporting their RB2 tracks here is how I got around the issue.
If you imported the game from the UK it won't have the 16 Digit code on the back of the manual that you need to redeem in game in the Rock Band store.
I called EA on +1 -(650) 628-1001 and explained the situation to them. They explained that they were having trouble with the European codes (the guy thought I was English...) and then they issued me a new 16 digit code which worked just fine.
The only problem is that I was on hold for a good 20 minutes so my phone bill will probably be higher than the cost of the game itself :s
You could probably also email them from the EA support website. _________________ http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197997175012

Ahhh k. Well seeing as how 'Any Way You Want It' wont be transferred to RB3 ( ),I'm thinking of just keeping the disc anyway.
Fingers crossed the tracks will be downloadable from the AUS PSN store tomorrow or in a couple of weeks like the Green Day songs. Otherwise, I'll try the email.

I think it had something to do with Soungarden being on Guitar Hero. Apparently the rights to the songs that Harmonix bought expired or something, so they couldnt legally transfer it over.
EDIT: Nevermind, it says it in the link above....Seems a lot of people are annoyed at the songs being excluded. Rightfully so. They're some of the best songs in the game.

Losing Spoonman and Any Way You Want It sucks! I was prepared that Battery would go, so while that's not awesome either at least I saw it coming - and less AC/DC is okay cause I've got the track pack and really wasn't hoping to play both versions consecutively every night before I went to sleep.
The actual point of me posting however is that if anyone else is suffering at the hands of the vocals being pretty unreliable and rarely deploying star power - just patch the game and it clears straight up (plus songs like Hysteria by Muse magically reappear). I know it probably seems obvious but my PS3 is rarely online and I've got no wireless and a restrictive internet cap so many of my games go unpatched so just in case any other luddites like myself are struggling with vocal issues, help is already at hand.

Got RB3 today.
Totally taken aback at the engine changes for the notes, you can actually keep combo on fast strumming now... The new additions where you can be inaccurate as you want without missing are very distracting on the highway but you can probably get used to it.
Also: So many song filtering options. It's awesome. _________________
