Marvel vs. Capcom 3

ZeroX03, can you pull off those combos during a fight or just in training? Out of interest and not rudely asking, it's just that in training I can do some great stuff that I can never pull off in a proper fight

I've been training to make that my staple combo if I land a hit mid-screen or in the corner. There are of course other variations depending on how I land the hit but this is the most consistent version I can do so far. I can make the combo go up to 1.01mil with a few more hits with Zero at the end, but then it becomes a little too hard to be viable in a real match. But if I DHC into Vergil's Spiral Swords I can get the combo up to 1.3million, which isn't too hard.

If I were to try this combo online, I probably wouldn't get it, I'd end up doing a shortened version, but if I'm playing offline, I'll definitely go for these combos. Practice Practice!

Yeah I figured that but why trench coat characters? Maybe Red_Sense wants to only play those characters in that particular costume set?

It's a term going around the fighting game community, but tbh, I reckon a team based around Zero is the best team, as I think he has the tools to be the best character in the game.

I can't use Fist to save my life

So far I like using Vergil and Nova (especially Nova) but I can't settle on character number 3. Would I better off with a horizontal assist or an otg?

Vergil/Nova/Doom

My Doom is really, really bad which is why I wanna ditch him even though I know he's really good

Believe me, my Doom is really bad but I stuck with him, but now I made a new team (Zero/Vergil/Dante). The main issue I find with Doom beam is that after you confirm a hit after it, you cannot do a full combo, as well as it causing too much hit stun, which can screw up combos. For Vergil, Hawkeye is great, as his arrows fulfill the same purpose, do less hits, and they do not cause a knockdown, allowing you to do a full combo after confirming off them. Not to mention Hawkeye is a sick character, especially as an anchor with access to level 3 XF.

Yeah, this mode is basically the reason why i bought UMvC3 (I'm too scrubby to play properly, can't otg consistently/call assists at appropriate times even if my like depended on it

Been hammering away at H&H (offline) and am more or less stuck when a stage is above 80%. The quick and constant (and cheap) attacks, the near endless enemy life bars and general difficulty stops me in my tracks every time.
