seems like TPG is really the one to go for (mostly hitting in around the 15-17mb/sec mark). of course this being ADSL2+. _________________

Considering that's ADSL and not 2+, that's not bad. It's an unlimited downloads service too, so although speeds aren't fantastic, not having shaping or limits helps.

I tried that one a few times, fastest I got was around 12,500kbps and slowest was 7,500kbps which sounds about right (the range that is).

33.6 Kbps...
I would load one from speedtest how ever it would most likely take me the next half hour.
That and i don't think this computer has a flash player... or 90% of the plugins required to view anything that isnt an online text document with one or two thumbnails on it.
I DID have a fast computer with uber quick internets...
Only the computer one day decided to pack it in... theeeen i moved back out to central Vic where the phone lines are made from old fences and twigs.

Being waiting for Internode to hurry up and add their Agile DSLAM in my local exchange so I can enjoy ADSL2+ speeds. Atm, only getting 1.5mbps plan . Will change to TPG soon since I've been waiting for ages and ages already.

Except that you would get that speed with any ISP with ADSL2+. I thought Telstra was only 20 mb/s, aren't some others 24 mb/s? So shouldn't they be a bit faster?

Fastest I've ever downloaded at is a little over 2MB/s, mostly from Steam but also from a good Torrent. _________________

I'm shaped atm and have been for a week or two.
I have 4gb a month.
When I'm not capped (rarely) the ping is around 150ms and the speed is around 300kbps.
Oh and there is no ADSL ports in my area (a new area near Robina, where Skilled Park is). I'm stuck with wireless.

I'm only a few kms from Skilled Park and can get ADSL2+. Strange you can't get it...

I can't get ADLS2+, yet houses only a couple hundred metres away can, in the same suburb..

I know mine isn't as I was on a website that showed the ports, and I could see that all the houses on the other side of the train tracks (old Narangba I guess) could get it, but all the houses on the other side (which is probably only around 5-10 years old, my house isn't even on Google Maps) can't get it . Well, I can get it with Telstra, but that is ridiculously expensive.

ADLS 2+ - I live about 3.6km from the exchange by cable according to adsl2exchanges.com.au which should give me a speed of about 2.5Mbps. I can't wait for the NBN to be fully implemented - I've never experienced speeds greater than 300KB, haha. _________________
