I earned some trophies on Darksiders yesterday but didn't sync to the server before going to bed. I came on here before turning on the PS3, and thank god I did. Apparently all trophies synced to the server are/should be fine, but it's up in the air about the ones that were earned but not synced before the error. So yeah, I'm staying the hell away from the PS3 until this thing's sorted.
Is anybody else in the same boat as me? Did you turn on the PS3 after this error started? If so, how are your trophies faring?

Well, logging on via the PSN website shows that I still have all my trophies for Heavy Rain, even if it doesn't show on my console right now. What about those people who have never connected their consoles to the internet? Have they lost them? It's a bit of a bummer if they don't have any way to fix this problem for those with no internet connection. Especially if it stops them from being able to play their games.
EDIT: I pretty much posted the same thing as the person above.. Sheesh.. That'll teach me for not previewing first. >_>

I've had my PS3 on for about an hour now, hadn't seen this post, and luckily it doesn't affect the slims.
As Tamtam79 has said it's seemingly an "OS" issue as consoles that weren't connected to the PSN are dropping like flies as well. I'm seriously wondering how something like this managed to slip by Sony during production. _________________

That was a good idea Neonyx, I logged on to the PSN via the Playstation website. My trophies seem to be safe. I've lost my guild rank 4 trophy in White Knight, but there's worse things. Now, Sony had better get this fixed ASAP. _________________

Behold, Guns of the Patriots!
But really, this sucks. Mine isn't connected to PSN and it has the same issue. I won't be playing anything until this is fixed and I tell you, the fix better be under 300mb. _________________

they also really need to fix it so that when PSN is down, you can still play the f**king games you've bought...

As has been established, the PSN being down is not the problem with games, its the corrupted trophies _________________

Well according to the Kotaku article/Reference from neogaf:
Can't Access PSN, PSN Games
Can't Sync Trophies.
Possible Corruption of Files
Time Being reset(With mine it was 1/1/2000 )
And the theory of it only applying to non-slim consoles is true....which sucks because i was going play God of War 2....which i now won't be playing because the trophies won't sync properly and i fear my save file might be/become corrupted(So far for me only 3 themes appear to have been corrupted)
I really hope they fix this up soon, Soughta wanna at least finish GoW2 before 3 comes out. _________________

Son of a bitch!!!! ALL my downloads are screwed up, 10 gigs of rock band songs, 10 or so PSN games, and I can only assume all m other data. Screw you Sony.
And I can't get some of it back.

I hope it hasn't done anything serious to mine. Have sent back my fat twice on warranty, and this is my third one that I've had for over a year.
The one thing I can see coming from this once it's fixed is (possibly) better connections, because it sounds like a problem that can only be fixed once they've dug deep into the Ps3 fat.

Seen as the date rolled over today, maybe sony is having a little case of Y2k?
Or maybe my conspiracy theorist alter ego is right and sony is being hit with a DDOS?

i recall reading someone saying the next Y2K bug could hit as soon as march 2010 , iv also heard users say the PS3 isn't future proof in this regard,so folks there you have it - and im still not satisfied , at the worst it could take up to a week to fix me thinks maybe 3 weeks i don't no all i know is GOD OF WAR 3 is on the way , so il just attend to my backlog and anime sets. _________________

| Quote: | | After calling Sony's technical support and speaking to one of their representatives, we were told the issue would be fixed by morning and that there is no need to fear about game's trophies of save data. So, it sounds like the fix will be made relatively soon and that there won't be any ill side-effects from the bug. What time the fix will go up exactly is yet to be determined. |

maybe this has something to do with my ps3 getting corrupted yesterday after playing borderlands. i think i remember changing the date and time, couldnt remember if it was the ps3 or the ipod. _________________

I love my PS3, but I imagine this is a sentiment being felt across the globe right now. What a monumental stuff-up. Sony had done such a great job to swing momentum towards their way and this happens?

Not all slims are 250gb...
Nearly all of them are 120gb.
