We're apparently getting a "HOW TO PLAY LOL" DVD bundled with the game, which when played will instruct newbies on how Mario and the game plays, but also includes "Super Play" videos similar to what was found in NSMB.
Two new reviews too;
Official Nintendo Magazine: 97/100
Game Informer: 9.25/10
The original game scored 97 and 9.8 from each publication. _________________

IGN Wii's latest podcast went up. Craig is playing the game to review it, and basically had nothing but praise for the title. This is the summary of what they had to say about SMG2.
- Craig is on the last battle, 105 stars
- Level called the Throwback Galaxy, it’s very cool
- Better than the first
- Game starts off hard
- Craig isn’t considering the original score for his review, he’s reviewing it on its own
- Galaxy 2 doesn’t acknowledge the original, alternate universe
- Going after market Nintendo attracted with New Super Mario Bros. Wii
- Nintendo wants to ween everyone in, you start off in 2D
- The next page allows you to move in and out of the background/foreground, but still side-scrolling
- On third page, full 3D world
- DVD in Japan/Europe
- Many people don’t understand the things we take for granted in gaming, in 20 years that’ll probably be gone
- There are moments in the game that are incredibly challenging
- Collect a Comet Coin in levels that attract a comet
- Craig’s review can’t go up for another week and a half
- Level designs are very creative
- All the “wowing” done in level design
- The Mario Sunshine-like level fell flat compared to everything else, but it still worked and was challenging
- When you’re in World 2, unlock ability to play as Luigi
- When you beat a level as Luigi, you unlock a ghost of the developer’s time trial (like a speed run), play along with the Luigi silhouette
- Each galaxy is completely different (2-4 for each)
- 6 worlds
- Each world has 8 or so galaxies
- Some really great, challenging gameplay
- One task is that you have to get combos by stomping Goombas, get 10,000 points
- Many boss battles
- Craig really likes what Nintendo did with Bowser, he’s super huge
- Adorable armadillo boss fight, you have to hit it as Rock Mario, kind of like a gladiator battle
- Amazing music
- Orchestra is back
- More orchestral music than MIDI pieces this time around
- Maybe 1 or 2 pieces Craig isn’t a fan of, but many great ones
- Throwback tunes
- Yoshi does a doggie paddle while swimming
- Craig hasn’t had the camera screw up once
- Every level has attention to camera
- Not as much freedom as you did in the first one, but it’s beneficial
- Play bowling with Rock Mario in a few levels
- Can’t jump on clouds as regular Mario
- There is an amazing boss battle that uses Cloud Mario _________________

Thats actually pretty good. This falls within the Toy Sale period which is just 6weeks away now, so it'll be at a pretty good price no doubt... _________________ <iframe src="http://gamercard.xbox.com/Ministry%20Se7en.card" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" height="140" width="204">Put your gamertag here too.</iframe>

Maybe, but it would normally launch at like $70-$80 anyway. I'd rather pay that, than wait a mth for it to be possibley cheaper. _________________

Transmission 15 video is up. It spoils a pretty cool galaxy late in the game that might be best left as a surprise for some, but if you want to watch it go nuts;

Remember back in the day of New Super Mario Brothers and how Australia was the first to get it, then it was followed by some douche being the first to pirate it. I guess Nintendo is probably still sore about that.
| gamespot news wrote: | | "Nintendo Australia is always pushing for games to be released here at the same time as the rest of the world, so we were pleased to get New Super Mario Bros. Wii before anyone else," the spokesperson said. "Unfortunately, due to the actions of this individual, future release dates may be affected for Australia, which is disappointing for us." |

You missed one!
Joystiq - In Love
This game is gonna have one high MetaCritic score. It'll be interesting if it can beat the original's 97% _________________

Thanks for the review post's Jarrod. How pumped are you for this Jarrod??....Friggin pumped I beat.
IGN RATINGS FOR SUPER MARIO GALAXY 2 (WII)
10 Presentation
Big and bold, with a progression that's been tightened up and streamlined. This is Mario at its core, and one of the best, if not the best, Nintendo has to offer.
10 Graphics
A testament to the amazing game engine from 2007: it still looks fantastic and beautiful.
10 Sound
A much stronger saturation of "big band" tunes here, and that's just awesome.
10 Gameplay
This is the absolute pinnacle of Mario gameplay: everything that makes a Mario game so incredibly fun is represented here. Both in 2D and 3D.
10 Lasting Appeal
If you just want to get to Bowser you'll be done in a few hours. But if you want to strut your gaming skills you'll be playing this one for weeks.
10
OVERALL
Masterful
(out of 10)
Just creamed pants ... What a score (first game to get all 10's I think) and its well deserved. This will be the best Mario game this gen, I already know it. So pumped...Try's to contain Fanboyness......ARGGHHHHHH.
OK, guys.....Where's the best place to import this baby? Any bonus stuff anywhere? _________________

Just had a thought. Maybe they delayed it here because when they released NSMBW here first, someone pirated and uploaded it? Not that that won't happen anywhere else in the world, but, yeah.

Nah. GTAIV got all 10s too. Possibly more but I only needed one example to prove you wrong. _________________

You mean hasn't happened?
I'm disappointed with the delay, playing early but will still buy upon release here. Looking to be a strong contender for GotY. _________________

I wouldn't say wrong. You can play that far if you want, but the point is, you'd be missing a lot more if you do.

Yeah I know, but I hate those reviews where it's 10 down the board. It's not objective at all. I'm not having a dig at Mario, every Mario is normally the same, i.e. quest shortish and collection of stars a challenge.
But I hope the main quest is longer then a few hours... _________________ Shin J Leon.

Well the IGN video review did mention the game was longer than the original and that there is alot of extra's after completion etc. _________________

Longevity...
I'm 10hr 54min in, just beat World 4's Bowser, 41 Stars, up to world 5.
Now I did leave it sitting for prolly 2 hours without playing during that time while I browsed forums etc, but I wouldn't exactly call it short. _________________
