Well, I beat Catherine on Normal today, took me around 15 hours. Didn't get a single gold trophy, but I got the True Lovers ending which was nice.
It was a very good game and some parts had me laughing, like a romantic comedy! I guessed the twist on the first night though, which made it not as cool. You really feel like a genius when you solve those puzzles.
I might give it a rest for a bit and then try and get the other endings. Any tips for the quickest way to get them all? _________________

Start a playthrough on easy and get gold medals on all the stages then you'll be able to skip the nightmare stages altogether in consecutive playthroughs. There's about 8 or 9 endings I think.
To get gold medals, you gotta keep the multiplier constant. Basically each time you climb a row of blocks you'll increase the multiplier and then it'll start counting down. If it completely counts down before you climb another row then you'll lose the multiplier and end up with a bad score. It's pretty easy to do once you memorize the stage.

Watching that video, I think I'm still slightly in shock that Persona 4 is actually being made into a fighting game. It's just so random! _________________

Devil Survivor 2 is the game I'm most interested in at the moment. I don't recall Atlus USA announcing a localization but some websites seem to be saying it'll be out in Q1 2012, awesome.

Atlus announced the localisation, but I think it went under the radar a bit. I'm really pleased that it's being translated, but I wish it were coming for 3DS... _________________

I never received any Atlus Faithful email or anything about it . Well, still glad that it's coming out in English.

I don't think they sent out an email about it, for some reason.
Anyway, here's some new screens of Persona 4: The Golden:

up to the final puzzle in Catherine now, I have to admit I saw who the villain was pretty early on <_< though all the twists were pretty damn disturbing, I have to applaud Atlus for making a game which really feels like a 'horror' title not some bs game marketing itself as horror just because it has a zombie in it. The game was easy until the stage 7 puzzles... game got so hard that I just wanted to stop dying and get on with the story so used youtube for specific parts of levels I was stuck on, about 1/3 of the stage 7 content I cheated the rest I figured out =p _________________

This awesome Aegis figure has just become available for pre-order:
I haven't bought a figure in a long time, but damn, that is tempting! _________________

I'm leaning towards Yukiko too, all the characters look like fun to play though.

The Persona 4 anime has already been licensed for North America. No surprises there I guess, it's a guaranteed hit. Hopefully it'll be airing in Japan very soon, I can't wait! _________________

Finished Catherine. Took about 18-19 hours. Got the true lover's ending which was perfect, a completely perfect ending. Not even sure if I want to bother seeing any of the others. Story was really good, totally not what I was expecting at all with the twist near the end. Anyway game was pretty fun except for I think it was stage 7 where the game just took a difficulty spike and it stopped being fun so I put the game down for a couple of weeks. The last few stages went back to being relatively easy on normal mode so it was all good =) 2nd last boss fight made me rage and my heart rate increase coz you really have to stay on your toes but the very final fight was easy and was a nice unwind =) _________________

I highly recommend checking out the cheaters ending. I've only seen both the normal lovers and cheaters endings so far, but I'm definitely going back for the trophies when I have the time.
About stage 7, are you talking about the last puzzle which is like only 5 blocks high but really difficult? That had me stumped for a good 30 minutes haha.
I actually own the Japanese version too, and it doesn't have a retry button (LOL!). I got up to mid-stage 6 before receiving my US version and have beaten the US twice and the Japanese once since. I even didn't drink any alcohol until realising it is beneficial in the US game. It was crushing, amazing game though.
I should really get onto calling that Japanese tutor.
