I don't know, I can't get into these new Fallouts. I was a mad Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics fan, but Fallout 3 left me flat. It was just so large, expansive, boring and uninspired. I felt like I was playing some kind of hacked together (Oblivion) mod. Probably didn't help that my experience with it was marred with all kinds of bugs.
Hopefully Fallout 4 will prove more interesting.

I was actually quite the other way around. I thought that the story, gameplay and environments (the DLC did this extra justice) of Fallout 3 were all excellent. After playing and loving Fallout 3 to bits, I decided to buy the first two Fallout games while they were five bucks each at EB. They aren't horrible games, but i'm not the greatest fan on the concept of the gameplay, and playing them in 2010 made them feel really dated. I did however decide to give Tactics a chance and I quite liked it. I thought that the gameplay in Tactics was much better and more fun than it was in the first couple of games.
So yeah, I cannot wait for New Vegas. What's going to be rather annoying is that i'm going to get it on release, so I won't be able to get a potential "game of the year" edition, like I did with Fallout 3. _________________

thanks for the video. Its looks about on par with what we've already seen... which is, its still disappointinly fallout3ish. The human character in that clip look nasty as always. They really need to hire some good 3D artist to model their people.
still, I'm going to buy this day 1. _________________

Grenade machinegun? I need to buy this game just for that...
And yeah THEMAN, Bethesda engines always make humans look like wax museum dummies. _________________

It really looks good. Well as good as Fallout 3 anyway.
I'm still tempted on the CE - but I probably shouldn't. _________________

We’re pleased to announce Fallout: New Vegas digital pre-order packs are now available in North America through participating retailers and will be available worldwide soon. The Classic, Tribal, Caravan, and Mercenary packs each contain in-game items offered exclusively through GameStop, Amazon, Steam, Walmart and Best Buy.
The Classic Pack (pictured above), available when you pre-order through GameStop, contains:
* Armored Vault 13 Suit – Extensively patched up and dotted with piecemeal armor, this outfit is an homage to the classic ending of the original Fallout.
* Vault 13 Canteen – This handy device is useful for staving off dehydration and providing a small amount of healing in the Mojave Wasteland.
* Weathered 10mm Pistol – A well-worn 10mm pistol that packs an extra punch despite its modest size.
* 5 Stimpaks – Food and water are good for long-term healing, but when the fighting is fierce, Stimpaks help keep Wastelanders upright.
The Tribal Pack, available when you pre-order through Amazon, contains:
* Tribal Raiding Armor – Pieced together from scraps of armor, this outfit provides protection without impacting mobility.
* Broad Machete – This heavy-bladed melee weapon does high damage against limbs and can quickly deal out a flurry of attacks.
* 5 Bleak Venom doses – Useful on any Melee Weapon, Bleak Venom makes short of work of most living targets.
* 10 Throwing Spears – If you would like to silently pin an enemy’s head to a wall, Throwing Spears are the way to do it.
The Caravan Pack, available when you pre-order through Steam and Walmart, contains:
* Lightweight Leather Armor – This hand-modified suit of leather armor reduces its overall weight without impacting its ability to protect.
* Sturdy Caravan Shotgun – Despite its rough appearance, this Caravan Shotgun will reliably fire 20 gauge shells until the Brahmin come home.
* 4 Repair Kits – Useful for repairing any outfit or weapon, Repair Kits are a valuable tool for any caravaner.
* Binoculars – The Mojave Wasteland is a dangerous place, but with these trusty Binoculars you’ll be able to spot trouble coming.
The Mercenary Pack, available when you pre-order through Best Buy, contains:
* Lightweight Metal Armor – Modified for long-range travel, this Metal Armor sacrifices some protection for mobility and overall weight.
* Mercenary’s Grenade Rifle – Though similar to other 40mm Grenade Rifles in the Mojave Wasteland, this model has a faster reload cycle.
* 3 Super Stimpaks – When you absolutely, positively, need to keep your blood inside your body, Super Stimpaks fix you up in no time.
* 3 Doctors Bags – Mercenaries and broken limbs go together like Iguana-on-a-Stick and Nuka Cola. Thankfully, these Doctors Bags take a bit of sting out of the inevitable crushed skull.

I really enjoyed FALLOUT 3. I really really did.
Do I want to spend another 100 hours in the Fallout world again? I'm not so sure. If they mix it up then I may be tempted but it's really looking like a similar setting with new set pieces.

Im looking forward to it. Fallout 3 was my favourite game of 2008 (?) and to date its still the only retail game ive got all achievements in (they werent hard, just time consuming).
So really looking forward to this, just hope Obsidian dont balls it up like that have done with a few games.
The character models will be exactly the same and still suck, I have no doubt about that, but I can live with that, I love the world.
Hoping TES5 is announced at E3 using a new engine (or vastly improved anyway) _________________ XBL/PSN/Steam: BenC82

Fallout is close to my favourite game but every Obsidian game has been a disappointment especially Kotor 2. I'm hopeful but every one of their games has been a buggy mess

I ran through Fallout 3 as a good character when it was originally released. Before even looking at New Vegas I intend to run through the GOTY edition I picked up last year as an evil character.
By the time I get around to that hopefully New Vegas GOTY is out _________________

This game will be so good that I can forgive the demon possessed wax characters, and also the hilarious jumping that looks as if it was a mod not intended for the game. _________________

I loved Fallout 3, I found the world really absorbing and most of my enjoyment was sourced from exploration of the brave new world ahead of me when I set foot outside of the vault.
New setting, same material I'm happy, add other new stuff, and I'm a pig in shit.
I'll be getting New Vegas for PC instead of 360 like I did with the first (due to living at Dani's dad's place at the time with no gaming PC and just my 360 to game on for a month or two). It ain't no Crysis, but at 2560x1600 anything looks nice. _________________

I clocked in just under 100 hours with fallout 3 and 4 expansions. I am all over this day 1. Pity the CE is $149...

I want to order it on steam since its a pretty hot price, but also to get the DLC. Then again, the chances of this being hosted on GA are next to none . I'd also prefer a hard copy to present on my shelf. I loved the original fallout 3 and have a GOTY pc version still sitting sealed on my gaming shelf. _________________

obisdian should be able to school Bethesda on how to get the story telling right. I think this will be much superior because of this reason. _________________

Hey did anyone else notice that the eyebot in that E3 trailer has a sticker on it saying: "My Child is an Honor Student at Roosevelt Academy"?
I thought that was pretty cool when I noticed it today _________________

If you wanted a particular DLC pre-order pack, I've been to a few gaming store websites and tracked down most who have what pack.
Classic - EB Games
Tribal - Fishpond
Caravan - Game
Mercenary - JB Hi-Fi _________________

I would gladly put another 200 hours plus into New Vegas when it comes out even if it means only slight scenery changes and new weapons. Fallout 3 was one of the best games I have ever played. _________________
