There was stealth? I just shot everyone in the head with my over powered sniper rifle. _________________

Haha yeah I did the same, just went in guns blazing! I only realised there was meant to be a stealth section after looking at the achievements, so I reloaded an older save and did it again ... it was really done poorly though. It's pretty much don't shoot people = stealth. _________________

Finished Arrival. Kind of meh. Not as bad as the internet told me but I don't recommend it.
The stealth section I didn't shoot anybody but still didn't get the achievement so after I finished I reloaded and just cloaked my whole way through it. The last stand one was a bit tough but after doing that why would any guy face me! I just killed 40 dudes what chance do two of you have? Story was interesting but really not needed at all. Also I think it has a lot of plot holes. Hackett seemed to have lost some edge and my femshep doesn't know how to sit while wearing a dress (seriously did the devs forget that femshep could be wearing a dress at the end?).

Looks like the fourth novel will actually continue with characters set in the previous three books.
"This novel continues the all-new, completely original story begun in the first three MASS EFFECT stories. The heroine, Gillian, was once the subject of horrifying scientific experiments, but now, after her rescue, she is beginning to master her amazing powers. But when she falls under the sway of a radical group who believes their powers make them superior to ordinary humans, she finds herself faced with a choice between her destiny ...and her humanity."
Grown up Gillian should be interesting. Hopefully this means less Mary Sue. I mean Kahlee. _________________

Expect Mass Effect 3 news to drop tomorrow or over the weekend. It's Game Informer's cover story for the next issue.

I don't know what it is, but I'm starting to get a bad feeling about ME3. I hope they don't balls it up.

Im sure it will be...good. Fun, lots of fun.
I just hope BioWare haven't stripped anything else from the formula. ME2 is as bare bones as it needs to be. Anything less and there will be disappoint.
I'm also worried about how much BioWare will spoil. They spoil everything . _________________

BioWare were hiring multiplayer programmers, and the EA listing for Mass Effect 3 I'm pretty sure has "TBA" for the player count.
At this point I'd almost put money on multiplayer. Almost. _________________

Start your media black out now. I didn't read anything prior to ME 2. It made Archagnel being revealed as Garus as a fucking amazing scene in the game since I had no idea he was even in it. _________________

You missed out on all the fun of BioWare spoiling nearly everything about Mass Effect 2, even in their official promotional features. It was soooooo much fun.
I should go on a black out and I intend to, but the temptation... _________________

Should I be upset that you just 'revealed' him? I've yet to play ME2, but I will get there one day! _________________

Only if you like going into games with absolutely no knowledge whatsoever of what's going to happen (Which if so, why are you in this thread?). It's a pretty early reveal.
It's the same level of spoilers as a 'what characters you get on your party' list would be. _________________

I'm going under the radar on this one, never done it before, and this is easily the most anticipated series in my entire life so it seems fitting.
I can imagine they'll end up revealing half the plot in their trailers. In one of the ME2 promo videos they basically gave away not only the intro sequence (which would have been AMAZING if I had gone in without knowing anything), but also the suicide mission. They gave away the fact that everyone or no one could be killed permanently etc and it just really killed the game for me, would have rather found out through natural progression. It wasn't nearly as exciting as ME in that regard.
Garrus was a complete utter surprise to me however, I just shat my pants so hard when he was revealed. It was literally the coolest revealing in a video game ever. I replayed ME1 so I could try and sleep with Garrus, just because of how unbelievably fucking badass he becomes....yes I was a male Shepard, what of it. _________________

honestly I've started doing media black outs with most story games I get excited for. Game trailers these days kind of ruin pretty much everything. _________________

Yes. Yes!
I'm pretty horrible at media blackouts - most of ME2 was revealed to me (including the first hour or so of gameplay) before I even got it, as opposed to ME1, which released out of the blue and blew my socks off. There was a game that came out recently that I was pretty proud to have not had spoiled, but I can't remember what it was. Reach, or Starcraft or something. ME3 will be much harder. _________________

I want to go on media black out but I have a subscription for game informer and I know I won't be able to resist. I also listen to an absurd amount of podcasts which I know will hype and reveal ME3. Dam you instant news age!
There were a few games that I went in clean. Red Dead was perhaps the biggest. I finished it before most had started playing it. Made it much more significant when I'm doing the discovering.

Okay, I've already inadvertently spoiled myself re: character appearances in ME3. That was fast.
Assuming the poor-quality photograph is legit, of course. I've always wondered why the people who leak scans of magazines never have a good camera, or basic photography skills.
I digress, though. I would have read the hell out of that article anyway. _________________

Wait so I can't look at The Game Informer article's pictures without getting spoiled? That's it I'm going to burn that issue as soon as I get it. Let the media blackout begin!

Lucky my Edge card expired in Feb so at least I won't have to worry about Game Informer spoilers comming through the mail
But yeah, I don't know if I should read anything ME3 related from now on until I play the game. Its THE GAME I am most looking forward to for this year.

Not really spoilerish in terms of what was in the article. Yeah, they confirmed 4 squad mates, one you haven't seen before. The rest were pretty much a given anyway, especially after ME2.
Most of it was regarding the opening scene and the many gameplay changes they are making which was a good read.

I think I'll read the GI article... can't help buying it for that price every month. But yeah, definitely on a media blackout apart from that.
As Benza said, the Garrus reveal was amazing in ME2. I don't want to miss out on something like that.
