I guess because none of them have blood and guts and foul language is why today's culture won't see them.
Eternal sunshine looks to be another Kaufman sleeper. Too bad many here - on this board and others - will miss it. |
If it makes you any happier I'll be attempting to see them all, 2 at the least

Secret Window: ***1/2 (Three and one half stars)
Keeps you on the edge of your feet, exciting, camera work is very moody and premotes suspense in an otherwise bland (in terms of action), but still creative, story. A little predictable, falls apart towards the end.
Johnny Depp holds it together... _________________ Hi!

Just saw Secret Window great movie.
I sort of got lost at one point or two but I'd probraly have to read the book to understand it. I found the ending just to come out of no where what made it so obvious!
SPOILERS
I have a few qs about the movie I was hoping for anyone who has seen the movie to answer them.
1. What was his true ending to the Secret Window?
2. What was so special about the corn?
3. When did he kill the cop and the old guy? It would have to be while he was sleeping because that's got me stumped.
4. When he was talking to Amies new boy at the service station, wasn't the boy friend saying he had hired someone to scare hm into signing the divorce papers?
5 What was his alter ego aka Shooter talking about when he said he stole his story?
6. Why did he have to kill his dog?
7. Shooter said he had wrote the story in 1997 that dosn't make too much sense as Mort wrote it in 1994
8. Why did he hate the maid so much I missed what he said about her?
9. Why did he open up his own parcel and rip out his story?
10. They said he once had an enemy who was he?
I missed out on alot of things as I took my brother (thought he would enjoy it as he liked Panic Room) and I had to warn him some of the big frightning parts were coming ( which in the end wasn't as many as I had expected).
lol I love the squirrel when Mort was fainting lol
I found the movie to be rushed around the end. The transition of Mort turning good to bad was too short and should of taken aleast a couple more minutes to have surfaced.

I saw both 'Secret Window' and 'Kill Bill Vol.2' in the holidays. Both were pretty good. I enjoyed Kill Bill a lot, and even sat through the credits because i was told there were bloopers at the end. Little to my suprise, there was one blooper, which went for about 10 seconds. Don't worry, i got my friend for that one.

what was the blooper?
just got back from "The Dreamers"... a weird french film with a strong incestuous undertone... or even overtone since it was the main focus of the film, but the lead female (Eva Green) is nude for the majority of it and she is hot...
forgot, but i saw Eternal Sunshine last weekend, wicked film if not predictable... _________________

I saw Kill Bill Vol 2 at the weekend, and I'm going again to see it this weekend, I might sit through the credits this time to see this blooper real. It was too hot in the cinema (no air-conditioning).
Hopefully I will get to see Shaun of the Dead this weekend. Battle Royal 2 is on the cards as well.

The blooper was one from the first movie, when she pulls the guys eye out. She pulls it out, then laughs, then says: "Aww, let's do that again." Nothing too special, but at least i can say i sat through the credits .

I didn't think 28 Days Later was that good. I'm glad i've seen it i guess, but i'll never watch it again. Spose I'm just a bit sick of zombies.

I sort of think of Kill Bill as one of those movies that almost anyone can enjoy. I'll probably get the two on DVD when they come out.

Oh ok, cool. I also assume they'll be releasing both of them together in a special edition version or something. Considering both the movies are the one storyline.

the rental version is out, but retail version comes out in August...
i imagine there will be some double movie pack coming out too, dunno if it'll be the whole movie as a 4 hour deal or what... i'll probably get the double pack, unless there is some heaps cool bonus for individual movies...
the other thing is the timing, in these times it usually only takes 6 months until the movie is available to buy, so with it being held off until august maybe it is a double pack, but the release schedule definatly says Part 1, so who knows? _________________

Hmmmm....I would definately prefer do have the double pack or whatever they'll decide to call it. I thought the movies were great and I'm more than willing to add them to my only select collection. Oh, and maybe they'll put a decent amount of bloopers in the DVDs, instead of just one.

it would make sense for the double pack to simply be called "Kill Bill" i guess... _________________
