I'm sure everyone has had a moment when playing a game where something is SO bad that you just think to yourself "what the F-K were they THINKING."
What are some of these moments have you experienced?
My most recent one is to do with the camera in Dragonball Raging Blast. The camera is the worst camera I have ever experienced in a game. Some games have cameras that suck at keeping up with enemies and then theres this camera. When your opponent flies above or under you, the camera doesn't even TRY to keep them in your sight. The camera just says "F this" and just sits there and does nothing.

Any game where the final boss is so completely different that the rest of the game is practically not even the same genre.
Noteable examples being the Devil May Cry series, Kingdom Hearts 2 and my personal favourite Star Fox Adventures, which is a breezy action adventure game, and then suddenly the last boss is a flight simulator arcade game with insane difficulty. I don't care if it's a callback to the original, SFA was an adventure game.
That's like a Zelda having a final boss chess match.
Edit: I also forgot another favourite of mine, Sonic Adventure 2 which is a typical 3D sonic game except that in the final battle he fights a giant tumor floating in space, without a space suit or any kind of propulsion. Yeah. _________________

Punching a boulder with nothing but brute strength out of the way in Resident Evil 5 comes to mind. It sure was manly though. _________________

Depends what version you played, but the PlayStation 2 one was certainly a joke, because it ran at about 5 fps and just getting through target practice at the start was hard because of the target reticule moving so unbelievably, impossibly slow... And immediately upon getting into the city, I got stuck in the curb! _________________

*looks at Batman: Arkham Asylum*
it wasn't hard or anything, just kinda out of sync with the rest of the game.

Pretty much all of Oblivion. My main gripe with the game was taking the elder scrolls lore, chewing it up, spitting it out, and sticking it up the arse of the nearest long time elder scrolls fan. Thanks Bethesda.
But the Oblivion realm itself also pissed me off to no end. So many books in earlier games depicting many wonderful and interesting realms, and what do we get? Lava, and lots of it. Then the skill point system that a chimp could solve. What happened to the complex system that actually required a certain degree of strategy and mathematics?
And I had a warrior who was the guild master for the mages guild. You may say I didn't have to do the mages guild, but with only 4 fucking guilds in the game, I had to keep myself busy somehow.

I just remembered....Assassins Creed 1. Sure it was a great game but I cannot believe how repetitive each of the cities was. The cities were modelled beautifully but the missions you had to do in each one were almost 90% the same. It took me 3 months to finish it just because I kept getting sick of repeating the same steps for each city. Everything else about it was great, just that aspect ruined it a little for me, will still pick up AC2 as I still thought it was a great game. _________________

^^ You know a game is flawed when yu spend half your time piss bolting past all the enemies just because you can't be arsed actually dealing with them for the umpteenth time. That pretty much summed up my time with Oblivion. I didn't even bother with any of the various dungeons strewn around because, what's the point? There was no real gain to exploring in it.
^ From what I've played of AC2 that aspect of it has been copmpletely removed, it's no longer a repetitive snore fest when it comes to progressing the storyline.

I think Oblivion is one of those love-it-or-hate it games, and it seems that most people can only seem to enjoy either Morrowind or Oblivion and not both - I played Morrowind and personally thought it was a horrible game, I found it much too dull, ugly and overly complicated.. But there are people who will tell me its a hundred times better than Oblivion when actually Oblivion is one of my favourite games. lol, that's just something that amuses me and its strange because they're both from the same series too.
Oblivion was definately dumbed down I think, that's for sure. However I think for some people, that dumbing down made the game much more accessible and easier to pick up and get into, which is why I loved it so much because I don't like it when games are too complicated. I think a lot of games are becoming more accessible now, because as someone who is very new to gaming, when I play older games I find them really difficult to get into because they are tooo complicated. Especially PC games! _________________

Uh, actually that's my main gripe about AC2 it's repetitive...but on a new note! The random bits of Italian in AC2, hell, sometimes they'll say a word in english, then repeat it in Italian! Also, sometimes they translate it, and sometimes they don't and you're left with an Italian word in the middle of a sentance that you don't understand. _________________

Everything SEGA has done with Sonic for many, many years.
Also, Nintendo's attitude towards game releases and the total lack of communication and organisation between the different regions. No Disaster for the states, no Fatal Frame outside of Japan, etc. It's very silly. _________________
