Does that include previously purchased used games? And like really old games? I have ME1 and Dead Rising sitting around, would that work?
Also have Fallout NV and Fable II. It'd be pretty sweet to swap those four in and walk out with two new games. |
I personally wouldn't trade in Fallout New Vegas, just trade in all the older titles you have.

Sadly my PS2 has died and since I'm not made of money I need to buy a replacement as soon as possible.
So what's the cheapest place to buy a first hand PS2?
I really only want it so I can finish off some games/play through the Shin Megami Tensei series.

Just got back from Game Knox City, the leaflet i got in the mail this morning said the deal wasn't cross platform, however the sales lady at GAME assured me it was, there are some awesome titles..
She also mentioned there was no exclusion list at this time, however the promotion has been super successful and head office were reviewing it over the weekend, and to get in quick as most likely there will be an exclusion list this week.

Like the_trotster, I thought it wasn't cross-platform as the T&C for the deal on the website says it isn't, but the Werribee GAME guys told me it was and even let me trade two DS games for a PS3 one.

Traded in Fable II, Dead Rising, and Fallout NV. The latter was enough on its own to get me a game for $1. I wasn't a fan of Fallout NV and prices don't look like a seller's market on e-bay.
Walked out with Dragon Age and GOW2 - neither of which I got around to playing before but really wanted to. Extremely happy with this deal.

What's Dragon Age: Origins like? I was going to get it but they wanted an extra $8 for "scratched" (non-scratched) discs, so I said screw it. I don't know if it's my kind of game, I've never really played non-J RPGs.

The range of games available from Game's $1 trade in deal, varies from store to store (you could say it's luck of the draw). They've included some of their pre-owned games in the deal.
I went to Camberwell Game and didn't really find anything I wanted.

Spoke to the guy at my local GAME and was complaining that I wanted Splinter Cell, and he said that while they don't currently have any, the promotion is just beginning and at some stage they will. So yeah, it will vary store to store, but also possibly day to day or week to week.
This was at GAME capalaba by the way.

I seem to remember this being a daily special just a couple of weeks ago, but it's $2 cheaper than then today - Goldeneye 007 bundle with gold Classic Controller on Wii, for $53 + $5 shipping from MightyApe.

I took in about 12 games to GAME, traded to get 4 $1 games that were not on JBs exclusion list (the otehr games were also not on the JB list)
I then traded 3 of them at JB to get Shift 2 for free.
I had 8 games including shift 2 and went to EB, who are offering an extra 50% when you trade in 8 or more games and got around $300 of trade credit for 12 crappy games.

Was there much at else at the Capalaba store? Shame there is hardly any stores in Brisbane.
