Probably a stupid question, but I didn't watch the comparison video in HD and it just made the PS3 version look darker. I didn't think it was that bad, and on my crappy TV it wouldn't make much difference. Is it really only noticeable on HD or will my standard def TV be bad?
Though the frame rate thing sure is dodgy sounding.
Guess the above posts gives a good reason to preorder here in Aus for a change! _________________ The best FPS is Pokemon Snap Facebook Group

Well I play on an SDTV and the graphics looked fine to me so it may be only noticible on a HDTV. _________________ Welcome to the internet. Where any joke can turn into WWIII.

Downloaded the demo of live. Just finished playing through it about 6 or so times. More evidence to suggest Platinum Games / Clover have the Midas touch.

I downloaded both 360 and PS3 demos and the difference is clear enough to me. It's like the same movie on DVD and Blu Ray, which is pretty ironic, considering which disc is which
It's almost like the PS3 version has a filter on it that intentionally blurs out all the detail. It also seems to give everything a sepia tone. It's like installing the demo to your hard drive also installs a layer of vaseline to your TV. The colours in the 360 version are so much richer and brighter; it just looks better.
I was trying to convince myself the PS3 version was worth it because I really prefer the Dual Shock for this type of game, but after playing the 360 version I don't think it matters all that much. The face buttons feel less responsive the PS3's, but the 360's triggers are so much better than the L2 and R2 buttons and, since you use the right trigger a whole lot, I think the 360 controller might actually be better suited. _________________

Just out of curiosity... is Full RGB turned on in your PS3's video settings? I think it's off by default. _________________

It is off by default and you should leave it there unless you are certain your display supports it.

Yeah, it's on and my TV supports it. Bayonetta PS3 doesn't really look washed out, it just seems like it's hiding all its detail under a filter of blur and this weird brown tinge. _________________

I wish I could do a side by side comparison. I downloaded the Xbox version off the Japanese XBL a while back and thought it looked great. I downloaded the PS3 version on the weekend and thought it looked bloody awful. Screen tearing, muddy textures, quite the mess.

This sounds very interesting! I hope they do fix it up and release a good version by launch time. Then I'd definitely get this game.

Just finished the PS3 demo, it's choptastic.
I made her climax a few times, she got nude and then her hair attacked things.
She seems kinda slutty and I don't see the reason why, she isn't hot. _________________

Just played the demo after finally having my normal internet back up.
Sooo(o)(o)ooo good on all aspects.
Pre-ordering the 360 climax version tomorrow! Wish they just made the PS3 version more worthwhile. _________________

Played the PS3 demo, pretty good action game!
I didn't notice any of these framerate drops though....Are they really that bad? _________________

I didn't really find any annoying frame rate issues, but from the looks of things the 360 version is just slightly to significantly better in different aspects. _________________

As many have said, the PS3 version is adequate in it's own right and playable and still fun. It's only until you stack it up to the 360 version that you start to see the differences.
For those of you that have just the one console (PS3), and you enjoyed the demo, don't deny yourself that when the game is released because of what people are saying with the comparisons. The gameplay will be exactly the same, and the presentation is still very good, and if that is what you dug, then great! _________________ Playing: Fallout: New Vegas

Well now I know I don't know what I look like what I am talking about but at the time when I made the comment they were still refusing to release yakuza 3 to western gamers. But we badgered them good. However they're doing it in March which just again proves their stupidity. Sit back and wait for their complaints when they wonder why they didn't sell many copies....hmmm I wonder why that could be.. _________________

Isn't that the Japanese version though. Is the demo for the US release of the game? "The new and improved version" Anyhoo I thought it looked good. I'd rather have it on PS3 than have my brothers badger my eardrums out with their complaints about the game. Even if the frame rate was sucky, anything is better than their whinny voices. _________________
