Because he is the default character as you just said. And besides that I actually used default shephard in every Mass Effect play through I've done... he just looks right and suits the voice perfectly too.
Additionally, maybe I am the only one, but I actually think that boxart is good. So sue me. _________________

But if I am able to change my character, it is stupid to put that default guy on the cover.
I like the cover also, just that little thing bothers me. _________________ Want cutting-edge Australian video game journalism with a friendly community? Click here!

If there was anything I wanted in the Collector's Edition I would honestly pass on it for his cover. I know it's ridiculous, but I love it. Shepard's crinkle-nosed Angry Face, that badass new alien who looks like a Mignola-drawn Abe Sapien, Yvonne Strahovski shooting with Shampoo Commercial Hair. Even the Moon is breaking its orbit to be in the background of some an awesome work of art. The only way it could be better is if the Normandy was tearing through the atmosphere behind them. _________________

Glad I'm getting the CE. |
Same here. Although the boxart for the standard edition would have needed to be exceptional to be better then the CE anyway. _________________

Well the thing is the PC version came out like a whole year after the 360 for ME1, so obviously they had time to improve on it and polish it alot more. Where as with ME2 both versions are being released at the same time, so you can be certain they are identical and will be equally polished. In these situations I always go for 360....must has achievables _________________

I wonder if they make the stock so bad I'll be forced to buy the CE. Anyway I love this game so much I think I'll get the CE. Anyone know the cheapest place to pre-order. I don't usually get the CE

BTW: In regards to the cast?
SHOGREH AGDASHLOO.
She is a GODDESS of the screen. She's absolutely amazing. And her voice! She doesn't speak, she purrs.
Man. If her character is a romance option, count me in.
(Probably not, she sounds like a Quarian. Don't care.)

Pre-ordered mine a week or two ago. It's a nice little package, tin cases are always a bonus imo
This can't come soon enough, I'll be shocked if it's anything less than stellar. _________________
