Is it just me.. or does it actually sound alright? the lip movements also seem to match. Its probably because i just woke up but Sarah sounded Aussie right at the beginning of the trailer.

I'm about 10 seconds in and not liking that voice. But I'll get used to it like all English VA.
Edit: Some of them are ok though, for example that Happy couple sound fine.

i love it .. i love any computerised movies ,clips or cartoons. its amazing how it looks so much like a real thing. that final fantasy looks would look like a good movie to watch but not playing the game.

9th March 2010 for US release and hoping it would be simultanously release in Aus too.
So now we getting 3 awesone games releasing similar time FFXIII, GOD3 and the most awaited SSF4.

Not sure our accurate it is, but its still listed as being released here in April 2010 on IGN.

It's amazing that we are getting it so soon after the Japanese release. For XII we got it a whole year after JPN, hopefully this sets a trend.
FFXIII, SMT: Strange Journey and White Knight chronicles are all coming pretty early next year. Seems like the JRPG drought is finally coming to an end.

Hrmm interesting.
Square Enix has announced the simultaneous PS3 and Xbox 360 release of Final Fantasy XIII in Europe and the US on 9th March, 2010.
At least the wait isn't too far off now.

As amazing as this game looks, cutscenes, etc.. the VA isn't bad but the one thing that makes me cringe is the awkward and somewhat awful scripting...
"when I was afraid of the future, and the future was clear, and it hurt to see.. I close my eyes.." 
However shoddy scripting, I highly doubt it will deter me from blindly throwing my cash at SE....

Well it seems my plans to import the US PS3 version are no longer necessary.
With a simultaneous release I'll just pick it up at JB or Game. Haven't decided on which version yet though.

ff13 or the most depressing ff game ever. at least half of that trailer was tragedy, lol.
and if that release date is correct, that means i have 4 months to finish my other rpgs before they are forgotten.

Argh.. Just found out Nobuo Uematsu only has written one track for FFXIII and it isn't even in the ENG version... It won't be the same for me.

It's great to finally have an official release date for the PAL release, March can't come soon enough. It's a shame to hear about Nobuo Uematsu, but I have faith that the soundtrack will still be up to scratch. I'll be buying the PS3 version.

The English VA are pretty good. The trailer didn't really blow me away, but I didn't find it lackluster neither.

i know, this sucks. Why do they need english soundtrack and even english dub? srsly i always choose jap with eng sub. Its a pain that we are being limited of the greatness because of a few lazy ppl who can't be bothered to read subs. Maybe i should learn japanese, anyone have any tips?

Enrol in a class if you're serious about it.
I think the potential for English speakers to get more out of the presentation is much higher with a localised dub than reading subtitles. I say 'potential', because the dub is often scorned in preference of the 'ignorance is bliss' of the original, but can succeed if done properly.
I mean, no-one complains about lack of dual audio in an MGS game, right?
