Sounds good. I could use resurrection to push some worlds down to PBWT via suicide. I could also do with going PWST to get the friends ring.

That was a "yes" right? If so we can try invading each other. I was actually trying to do it the other night with (unsuspecting) you and David, but it never seemed to work. _________________

My character is level 124 I think if you wanna play. I'm probably really rusty at it though (haven't played in months). We could just wait for Dark Souls .

i have to admit playing it after a 7 month break = very scary game once again, i instantly lost all the confidence i used to have and my heart rate was up, mainly because on NG+ and pure black tendency for world 3 and those octopus guys were 1 hit killing me before i remembered that i can cast anti magic field and run up to me and watch them unable to do anything.
edit: anyone have a chunk of marrowstone? :/ _________________

It's pretty nerve-wracking when you're at the end of a world and have a stack of souls but it's what I love about Demon's Souls. I can still remember the first time I got invaded in 1-4, my heart was racing. I was fighting the Blue Dragon for about 10 minutes with my bow and arrows and somehow managed to defeat the invader and finish off the dragon.

yeah that's why i don't do 1-4 by myself unless i'm in soul form... sigh chunk marrowstone seems hard to drop, i have to kill one of those giant guys in 5-1 to get to the enemy which could drop it, sword of searching didn't do anything. _________________

I really really really really bloodly hate world 4-2 but it my own damn fault for playing when I had a really really bad day. I mean with the god damn reapers and the soul things with that spell, and hidden enemies that keep killing me I mean come on, an hour and a half and I got nothing to show for it.
Will try again when I'm not as pissed off.
Sorry guys I just wait till I've cool down. _________________ Currently Playing : Atelier Iris 2 (PS2), Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii), Legend of Heroes : Trails of the Sky (PSP), 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (DS) and Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

Haha, I was probably in soul form the whole time. I'm guessing the fight would be practically over as soon as one of us landed a hit with our gigantic swords

world 4-2 is one of the easiest and also the best to farm souls in as long as you have a bow + thief ring. Just kill the reapers to destroy their summons (takes about 5 arrows max).
Before you enter the 3rd floor going down enter the 3rd floor to trigger the spawn of the reaper and return to the 2nd floor overlooking the area to kill the reaper with a bow.
shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes to reach the boss _________________

Getting past the skeletons on the cliff is hard enough and then you meet the reapers with their infinite spawning mobs .

spoilers for 4-2:
| Quote: |
I think there's only two of the shadows you actually have to kill. None for the first reaper, use a bow or jump down to kill the reaper with a bow. One for the second reaper (if you're quick), the first one on the steps that shoots beams, then snipe the reaper with a bow on the steps. Then there's a shadow blocking the small tunnel you need to kill before getting to where the third reaper is.
Invisible assassins can be avoided by not picking up the junk in that area. Just don't bother =)
Then you've only got a few slugs and white explodey things to dodge past before the boss.
Like Pagan said, the skeles (esp gold) are the real problem =P

^ Ahh, memories of rage. Regarding the reapers, I remember there was a shield that absorbed their beam; white something-or-rather shield.

Dark Silver Shield, or alternatively the Rune Shield, are effective against magic attacks. 5-3 for DSS, and Rune equipment can be obtained in 3-2 or 1-4.
I haven't tried anti-magic field before, but that could work.

rune shield is too weak, i'm still using dark silver shield now though =D it's a shame that female characters can't use garl vinland's armour set as it's BEAST =( anti magic field is all kinds of win except it prevents you from using magic as well =p it has a certain radius though so I had trouble in the last few moments of Fool Idol boss fight at the one standing on the opposite end of the cathedral could still soul ray me. _________________

Dull Gold set from Selen Vinland is very similar - same magic resistance, less physical and fire resistance but less weight too. _________________

Wow thanks for all the help guys.
Turns out I decide to go back to it after I had cool down and after upgrading my sword a few levels made it so much more easier that I ended up getting through it all and beating Old Hero and getting a crap load of souls. Time to do 1-2

Didn't have enough skill points to use the bow effectively so I didn't think I would do too much damage, probably would of made things easier. _________________ Currently Playing : Atelier Iris 2 (PS2), Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii), Legend of Heroes : Trails of the Sky (PSP), 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (DS) and Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

Man, I really should of killed her when I had the chance. Didn't even think to.
I've got it in one of my male character's games though.

Really?
But aside from that, I'm an arsehole and I slaughter everyone haha.
This was after I gave her the Crest of Vinland btw.

Thanks for that, still learning new things. I must have picked it up from the slug in some of my previous games but just can't remember. On an island across from the nest apparently. I'll be procuring that later.
I remember picking this up once or twice before actually, stupid lonesome slug. I was wearing the chest-piece in co-op OropherX

Selen Vinland scares me. I fought her on my 4th playthrough and her damage was insane. What's worse is there's no easy trick to beat her like Executioner Miralda.
