Don't know about anyone else, but do you guys dig collectors edition unboxings? Sometimes they can be hilarious and sometimes they just suck!
One of the best in recent memory easily was Nathan Drake himself (Nolan North) unboxing the Uncharted 3 collectors edition.
What do you think?

I don't care, unless it's me doing the unboxing. _________________

I hate the "unboxing" word, it's not even a word. Who makes up this rubbish? Never liked the videos as it is nice to open up a collector's edition yourself and see what's inside _________________

The only time I've ever watched "unboxings" was to decide if I want to pick up that CE or not. Given that it's very rare for these videos to be out before the CE orders have ended, they're not very useful. _________________

Ah the removal from package ceremony, at my work place it is traditional for each new type of device we receive that there is a gathering and a mock ceremony to occur like the one in the video above. My favourite company for it is HP. TouchSmart(dumb) 9100s come in enough useless clingy plastic to float a small island economy. Also spare parts can be a joke. A single 5mm screw once came in a long thin box that you'd normally expect those industrial fluorescent tubes to come in. But the real reason we do it is that usually the new toys cost tens of thousands of dollars and it's nice to see those arrive mint in the box before being shipped to who knows where, where it will collect dust while running 24/7 doing its job.

Hahah I know exactly what you mean.
We ordered some software from HP. We got a few CDs in a box and then in a number of separate boxes were the license keys. One sheet of paper per box. _________________

Most unboxing videos i've watched were very long and boring, they probably could have edited out the long pauses between things happening.

How is it not a word?
It's a series of sounds that carry a specific meaning. That's what a word is. _________________

Furthermore, if Jessara hates the word unboxing and that it also isn't a word.

They're fine depending on camera quality and ratio of pointing camera at box/point camera at person's face.
General tip though - Always mute the video. _________________

Only use I've found for one was an unboxing vid of Guitar Hero: World Tour so I could figure out how the fuck to fit it back into the box when I sold it. _________________

Last time I watched an unboxing video was to figure out if the cover art on the actual game case of Arcana Heart 3 LE was the same as on the regular one I also really only use them to see details of what they come with. _________________

Yeh agreed although it does suck when people keep holding the cam while they open stuff up so we can't see what theyre opening or how they get it out
