Joss Whedon - Creator of: Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Dollhouse and many more.
Drew Goddard - Cloverfield screenwriter and writer of a handful of Buffy and Angel episodes.
The Cabin in the Woods is a horror film written by these 2 people and WAS due to release in February this year. BUT someone decided to put it in 3D and now it will be.... in 2011
I must say i'm excited for Whedon's first 3D anything (as far as I know) and i'm looking forward to scaryness along with a heaping spoon of quirkyness.
People familiar with Joss Whedons' works will be glad to see:
Amy Acker - Fred/Dr Saunders: from Angel/Dollhouse respectively.
Fran Kranz - Topher: from Dollhouse.
Tom Lenk - Andrew: from Buffy.
All appearing in the film. Along with some other awesome sights to see
such as:
Bradley Whitford - Probably most memorably known for his role of Eric Gordon, the evil businessman in EDIT: Billy Maddison.
AND
Richard Jenkins - Who I know mostly as the ghost in 6 Feet Under.
Either way, there seems to be alot of amazing goings on in the making of this film and I'M EXCITED!!!
P.S
Tag Line of the movie is:
"If you hear a strange sound outside... Have Sex." _________________

Also, its Billy Madison that he's in, not Happy Gilmore. _________________

Saw it tonight, brilliant film. It's criminal that it didn't get a mainstream release in Australia.
If you are a horror buff you are going to love it to bits.

A horror movie embedded in a conspiracy flick embedded in another horror movie-the most inventive cabin-in-the-woods picture since The Evil Dead and the canniest genre deconstruction since Scream.
