Share price is a good indication of how well a company is doing, but that's all really. Each company has a different number of shares listed, and that's where the distinction is. eg. If A's share price was $1 and it had 100 shares listed, it's not bigger than B, who's share value is at $.50 but has 1000 shares listed.
In that article you linked to above, it mentioned that the Sony company has 8 times the revenue of Nintendo (they do sell TVs, DVDs, everything else electronic, etc). I tried looking around for some current book value figures (they should be on their respective websites) but I just don't have time to work it out now. Need to get back to studying!

Ah ok, well sony have about a million shares Compared to Nintendo who have 140 thousand. So yeah I guess Sony are bigger.

Actually Sony have about 1 billion shares and Nintendo have about 140 million.
Either way though Nintendo are indeed worth more than Sony
I shall do this the simple way by just tacking on million at the end of the numbers to make the numbers smaller for me to use. The mathematicsa themselves are still the same though.
Sony: 1000 million shares at 2470 yen = 2,470,000 million yen.
Nintendo: 140 million shares at 25,690 yen = 3,596,600 million yen.
So Nintendo (based on shares) are worth just over 1 trillion (1 million million is 1 trillion right?) yen more than Sony.
