I got all the statues, but I'm going to use a walk through for the feathers as I've only got like 35 of them. I wish I didn't have to, but I don't want to get to the point I did in the original when I find 99 of the flags and have 1 to go. It's not fun using a walk though to go to 99 places with potentially no flag. I really wish they marked off which feathers you have got on the map like they sort of did with the glyphs. _________________

Took me a while to find the last one, for me it was one that was not too far from the villa, on a wall just to the left of the training ring if I remember correctly. The audio REALLY helps when finding stuff.
There are a couple of treasures I'm stumped on in Monteggiero though, a couple that are apparently in the villa judging by the map. |
I think I have that statue and the other one that ego mentions...the one I'm missing is the first one if you go by facing the villa and consider the plinths they go on going clockwise. I've not resorted to a walkthrough yet though....I probably will at the end to clear up the feathers though. Most areas I only seem to find about half of them, although to be fair I've not really gone out specifically looking. For some reason though, I got almost all of them in the Forli region in my first pass through there.
As for those treasures...I remember them Took me a while to figure out where they were:

That should always be your last one, the statues are collected (using your system) first one on the right and then they go counterclockwise till the last one. Either that or I got a freakish coincidence in the order of statues I picked up.
In other words, it doesn't matter what actual statues you pick up, the names always follow the same order.

You know what's really weird is that I was just reading a book about Dante Alighieri set in Florence, before I played AC2, and now he is referenced by AC2.

It's awesome, every single person that is mentioned in the game was a real person, all the information in the database is 100% true (at least, as true as our history books are). I love games that actually use the real world for their lore. The Gabriel Knight titles are another perfect example of this.

^One of the reasons why Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors are my guilty pleasures. I love reading up on the character's actual history, although the games do change a few details here and there. _________________

Has anyone come across any glitches in the game.
| 1up.com wrote: | Assassin's Creed 2 suffers from a glitch that could trap the player and force them to restart, reports CVG. Apparently the glitch is triggered if players turn off their console after the game auto-saves upon completion of chapter 11. "After the save I quit out of the game," wrote one tipster. "After I returned the next day it loads the hideout level and nothing happens. You just walk about with nobody there." We don't have information on how often it happens, or if it's occurring more with one platform than another. But if players get trapped there, there doesn't seem to be any way out.
Though Ubisoft hasn't made a comment, the preventive solution until they do is simple: don't quit after chapter 11. A story sequence follows that chapter, and then leads the player straight back into the game as Ezio. If players simply wait until they're back in Renaissance Italy, they should be fine. If you've already encountered the glitch, drop Ubisoft a note with details of your problem and your platform; having as much information as possible might help them fix it. |

PS3 version has a new patch. 77mb.
I'm guessing it is just fixing the issue mentioned above. _________________

I've now finished the game on ps3 (got the platinum trophy ) and I had a fair number of game freezes which had me need to restart the ps3. Only seemed to happen after I got to Venice though I think...Wasn't a huge number, like half a dozen times in total.
Wonder if there's anything in the patch for that issue as well. Anyways, I doubt I'll be going back to the game having milked all I can from it now until the DLC that is _________________

Pricing details for AC2 DLC
The Battle of Forli will release in late January for $3.99
Bonfire of the Vanities will come in late February, for $4.99
Both packs are said to take up a full gig of space, so the prices sound lower than one would expect for hefty content _________________ Play-Asia Affiliate Link For Gaming Bargain

Hrm how annoying. I guess there will be new achievements with this too. I can't stand games that when you complete the achievements/trophies, then your hard work hard is undone by DLC.
I was wondering why there was a gap in memory achievements. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Yeah. I just finished memory 7 last night. But I've almost done EVERYTHING else (all side missions, almost all the feathers, tresures etc). I have like a tonne of money and nothing to buy.
I couldn't help myself. Something about this game makes me want to do EVERYTHING.
It's so good. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I was exactly the same, as a result I got heaps of hours out of my first playthrough which made it very worth it. I think it helps having those treasures on the map, I dunno it just makes me want to seek them out and then I find other stuff in the process.

Yeah it's well done. It's there on your mini-map and it's so seemless to jump around and get to the treasure. It's pretty damn fun.
I think I'm almost at 18-20 hours and only half way through the main story. I'm actually more interested in the 'Turth' be to honest and seeing how that ends... _________________ Shin J Leon.

This weird game crashing bug hit the other night, with myriad guards clamoring on the rooftop all of whom could be assassinated one after another until the game froze. It was pretty awesome until then! STAB!

I just finished it
Well I think this is my game of the year!! Really fun with only a few flaws really...
*spoiler bits*
One bit that stuck out near the end was a section on the rooftops where there is a horse (I don't know why its on the roofs ) and you're supposed to ride it over the roof and jump over the gaps... I must have been doing something very wrong because I couldn't get the horse to jump over the gaps, it would just get to the edge and stop! And the gaurds kept tripping me up all the time, and I couldn't reach the gateway that was slowly closing. In end I just left the horse behind and climbed up the building. and then did the rest on foot.
and does anyone know what that little section was all about, about half-way through the game when it switches back to Altair and he's chasing his target but then it turns out they are actually lovers? It seemed a little strange and didn't really amount to anything in the plot so I'm wondering why its there. Though it was interesiting.
and finally, when all his friends are on the tower shortly after he finds out they are all Assassin's; why did they burn Ezio's finger with the hot poker?
*spoiler bits end* _________________

Congrats Pixiegirl, I just finished the game 2 days ago so I know how you feel Really awesome game, enjoyed the story from start to finish, especially Ezio's funny/slick lines delivered with the Italian accent.
I can't remember exactly, but I didn't have any trouble jumping over most gaps.
I think that Altair section in the middle is linked to Assassin's creed: Bloodlines? Or probably just to show you how Altair got his children.
And lastly I think they burnt Ezio's finger to officially accept him as an Assassin.
I wish somebody would do a Youtube video collecting all of Ezio's lines!! Requiescat in pace.

That part with the horse is meant to happen I think, well I too had to do it on foot but I don't know if it's because I stuffed up and you can do the whole wall with the horse or what
