Does anybody know when/if we are getting this here and if a collectors edition is on the way? This looks so nice!
I'm really looking forward to sinking my teeth into this title (I played it in Japan). I loved Guilty Gears and this is a great follow up. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Apparently the US version is region free. According to Arksys games. _________________

I'll probably get the PS3 version since all the extras are on bluray. Not sure if Australia will get the same extras but it looks suspiciously like the SF4 Limited Edition US release. Both the PS3 and XB360 limited editions are the same in terms of content.
Not sure if it'll get the same treatment, since Blazblue isn't as mainstream as SF4.

Where abouts is confirmation on aksysgames? I probably will pre-order the LE from play-asia this arvo, but a little nervous.
I'd pick up the PS3 version however I have TE stick for the 360 so I'm kind of stuck.
In other news, I heard yesterday that BlazBlue has a 30 hour single player story component. I'm not sure how this works (as there are only a handful of characters) but still, sounds promising. _________________ Shin J Leon.

^ Yeah, but that won't be updated until the game is released.
I put a pre-order in for now and will monitor it closely. It's not due out until the 25th of June, so we have a bit of time to wait still. play-asia is good, they don't charge your credit card until it ships. Hopefully it will be in the Australia release schedule before it's release in the US. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Actually Battle Fantasia is region locked. From the same developer as BlazBlue, not a good sign.
Keeping my eye on it..... _________________ Shin J Leon.

If Battle Fantasia is any indication, we won't be seeing it here in Australia, although that was probably because Battle Fantasia was being handled by Red Ant.
Don't know who would distribute it here.
Not too excited about this one. Never was a big fan of Guilty Gear, and BlazBlue looks like Guilty Gear with a new coat of paint.
If it's region locked (probably a good chance like Battle Fantasia), I'll probably get it from the UK when it's cheap, for collecting purposes (cuz I like to collect 2D fighting games, much to the disapproval of my wife )

The limited edition for this game looks really great. Nice box, full soundtrack with additional tracks, blu-ray disc with strategies and tips, and art book with the gamestop online pre-order. The Blazblue Limited Edition comes with just as much stuff as the Street Fighter IV Limited Edition and costs US$20 less. It kinda makes me feel like I got ripped for the SFIV Limited Edition. :/ _________________

This is a fighting game made by a completely different developer to Square Enix. So they're VERY different. _________________

Battle Fantasia comes out tomorrow, just REALLY late compared with the rest of the world.
Well, in that other forum it would seem it's region free. Hopefully it stays that way. I'm going to hunt around closer to the release date and make doublely sure that it is. I'm just praying we get it in late June too (although I want the CE).
*sigh* stupid Australia gaming. _________________ Shin J Leon.

You just described almost every Japanese game to be released in the last 15 years. They're pretty much all like that nowadays. _________________

Battle Fantasia seems like a bargain bin pickup for me, that, or if the retail price is reasonable from the get go.

Agreed. But if I didn't have SFIV I would pick this up tomorrow Hopefully I can pick this up down the track for $50. Looks OK. Eurogamer have it a pretty good review. _________________ Shin J Leon.
