If that's in game, it'll put Mirror's Edge to shame.

That looks like CG to me. Just a little too good for a multiplat. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

Most likley a pre-vis with what they're attempting to get the game to look like.

Is anyone else finding it suspicious that in both this and the offical trailer we never get a good look at Jades face?

Looks fantastic, but the sequences were a little too convenient to be gameplay imo. Certainly hope that I'm wrong though. icon_smile.gif

It looks very smooth. Not like the BG&E that I remember. I guess all the zany characters and environments have been dropped in favour of a grittier more realistic feel =\

Because the 10 blury frames of charecters we saw is a definitive look at the style of charecters in the game?

Man, if that's in game, it puts pretty much every game ever to shame. But also, if that's in game, I'll eat my hat

Reminds me alot of that coke ad they had thay was very GTA-esque, the one that was relerased some time prior to GTA4. If that is in game and you can control that sort of crazy stuff, could be one of the greatest games ever made. It looks absolutely amazing.

Thats what makes it looks so gooD!

Game cameras have to walk a difficult line. A user adjustable camera allows you to set up a shot (apparently I'm one of the few who enjoy this) to but can hamper playability, auto camera can destroy a game's cinematic edge.

Price of Persia had lavish graphics, but the way the camera stuck steadfastly above Princey, centre frame, made it just look so... GAME. Much of the beautiful scenery went unnoticed in favour of looking at big rock walls. If UBI can pull off this kind of dynamic camera, I think they could well be on the way to bridging the gap between game and cinema. This is what I WANT my experience to look like, solid graphics are not enough any more. There needs to be solid direction as well.

Exactly, the camera feels like a natural accompaniment to the game, but it doesn't detract at all even with the constant swaying around, it helps the game flow. However it also gives the impression that this isn't actually in game.

I haven't played it in quite a while so I might be a bit off. But I remember the game being full of crazy robots, animals and machines. Everything in that video looked bland.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be disproved! =)

BG&E had a lot of normal people and a lot of crazy animals, all kind of mixed together.
The more I think about this though the more I think that this is hiding something, we don’t see jades face, there is (Almost intentionally) no identifying details. But it seems too polished to be something that they didn’t want people to see.

I’m thinking there might be a big reveal at E3.

Agreed, I'd be very surprised if it was actual gameplay, it's probably just in-game cutscene (though I wouldn't rule out pre-rendered).

However I wouldn't want the game if that is representitive of the gameplay because the camera wasn't looking where you needed to go in a few spots and the controls to do all that would probably be over complicated and the whole slow down when bumping into stuff would annoy me to no end. I for one welcome any games that don't pretend to be movies, they are actually fun to play rather than just pretty.

Mirriors edge seemed to manage fine with two buttons for its pakour.

I do agree with you on doubting that that’s actual gameplay, but I for one would fucking love it if it was.

I'm not sure how many time I've watched that clip now.

Even still, I don't think it's sunk in that this could be Beyond Good and Evil 2. Hell, I don't think it's sunk in that they're even making Beyond Good and Evil 2. That's still pretty much the greatest gaming news I've ever heard, ever. And now there's this video to add to that... Nope. It hasn't sunk in yet.

I think I'm going to watch it again now.
