So I was chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool on the couch out the front of our (soon to be ex) house, being all nonchalant and drinking a beer, when I realised 'O HEY, TEH PALGNS!'



Road couches do funny things to people, in this case it made me remember that I was sitting at 5999 posts and it was probably time for me to get off my high (lazy) horse and finally jump on the milestone bandwagon.

So yeah, go me - 6000 posts old today! I demand cake and cats, hugs and hard drugs. All of the above and more! Now, deliver!

I take a real pride in being a part of one of the few large gaming-centric forums around that actually offers some intelligent and interesting discussion, not simply flame wars and useless spam. Granted we've had ups and downs over the years, but most users worth a damn have stuck around through it all. It has been great to see people grow (figuratively, natch) over time, maturing in opinions/taste (well, there are exceptions to that... ) and often with a string of photos along the way too.

I found this place while searching for Aus release dates and signed up to the forums on a whim - I'd never have stuck around this place if it weren't for the volume of cool posters around; some have come and gone over the years, others are like the threadbare couch in your spare room - always there and comfortably familiar (hrmm... mayhap I have couches on the brain).

For all the interesting games discussion, for all of the friendliness to people you barely know, for all of the head-scratching moments and hilarity... I'd like to thank you. An especially large shout-out to the Melbourne crew - it was fantastic to meet you all and we should do it again sometime! You've made this all a place that it worth coming back to, even when I've barely got time to browse let alone post. Kudos to you =)

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some couch-time booked in...
