For all those interested looks as though Madman now has a swanky new "screening room" in which you can watch full episodes for free!

I watched Darker than Black and thought it was pretty cool. _________________

OMG, that is amazing that Madman is streaming the whole series, and releases only appear to be 1 week behind from Japan releases, which also is amazing in itself.

currently watching bleach, had a look at the first ep of 07-ghost (thought it was interesting, warrants further views) and im tempted to check out the full metal alchemist reboot/remake/thing.
bleach initially annoyed me when it went into filler, but then i realised a week later it was only a 2 week thing, to see out season 9, so 10 could start back on track...also most likely to kill time. either way, watched 215 today and its setting up some awesome stuff to come. _________________

well i finished both blue gender and black lagoon and i can easily say i can recommend them both , black lagoon is a bit like bebop and is very modern , blue is a bit like NG tho quite diverse as a lot of main chartes and cast are killed off late and at the start and the story isnt based in one location seems to combine a number of animes tho wili you think the story will go one way it gos the other , ( aird around 2000 ) oh and the first 3 eps are a bit slow but it picks up by the 7th ep . _________________

Ive been watching Neon Genisi Evangelion , which i brought from the palgn forums, only watched the first disc so far but so far so good. Very similar to rahxephon, which is probably my fav anime series, (i know neon genisis came first) Looking forward to watching the rest. _________________

i suggest once you finish that, look into the rebuild movie series they're producing now. the first ones out and was rather brilliant. _________________

I'm starting off bleach ( Up to episode 14. Goodbye Bandwidth xD )
Watching some more naruto, cause my old pc is shot i started again, up to EP 29.
Started and finished Elfen Lied when my friend came over, it was allright, but the ending was anticlimactic.

While on the other hand, I liked all 20 of them. In any case, regardless of whether you enjoy the first episodes (I reckon the first episode is one of the best in the series, the bit where Ichigo breaks out of the binding is great), it's a really good series overall.
mikezilla, fix the thread title please, you've gotten it wrong twice now. _________________

Reserved all of Ghost In The Shell Season 1 from the local library (thankyou local council. ). Unfortunatly only got disc 2 though, as disc 1 and the rest was out on loan, and disc 5 was at another library.
Currently enjoying Code Geass on ABC2. _________________

Been watching a little bit of Spiral. Excellent murder mystery, and gets the viewer actually thinking.
The cases are suprisingly complex, and there is more then a few shocking twists. All up, I am having a fantastic time watching this. Unforunatly I can't track down a Region 4 copy of the series on DVD, very irritating, considering my monthly allowance only gives me 4-5 episodes a month.
EDIT: I am hearing good things from Bleach, I am able to get hold of the entire english dub of season 1 on DVD, is it worth it?

I've watched Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, Full Metal Alchemist, Love Hina, Trigun, just watched Furi Kuri or FLCL, Elfen Lied, im still watching Bleach about 212 eps atm, LOL @ iCE, i capped 12GB in like 5days, bleach can get seriously addictive and the filler is annoying me now that i only get one ep every one or two weeks. I've also watched a few eps of Air Gear and Tenjho Tenge, but im not motivated enough to watch anymore, especially Tenjho Tenge coz apparently it goes downhill after the last episode i watched. I want to get into Naruto and One Piece but way too many eps.
As for movies, PAPRIKA is awesome, and if you havn't already, see Interstella 5555, its what made me love DAFT PUNK. _________________ There's No Place Like 127.0.0.1

It's actually not a very impressive list, but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that a lot of it was borrowed out at the time. Also, everything is spread out across two libraries at two different locations as well, so...
And the reason why I constantly complain about people downloading stuff: 5gb up/down/local cap. And it's the 2nd cheapest in our area, that had a port left. I am proud to say that I have never gone over 4gb in a month yet. _________________

I'm currently watching Bleach, seen all of the episodes out so far, both of the OVA's and two of the movies (The first two: Memories of a Nobody, and the Diamond Dust Rebellion).
I personally didn't mind the fillers. Better than they could have been, but it would have been better with the continuation of the plot.
SPOILERS:
I loved the episodes where the back story to the Vizards (Visored, whatever) was explained. Anything featuring Urahara as a main character is awesome, in my opinion. Not to mention the whole Vizard/Visored thing is just cool, and intriguing too.
I'm currently up to episode 6 of FMA, enjoying it so far. The concept of Alchemy is pretty interesting. _________________

I just found out that disc 3 of my boxset has the disc of GA-Z (the second season) instead. Unfortunately I bought it like a year ago. This is the second time this has happened to me (once got the third disc of a show instead of the first disc).
Sad face. |
I only have the first two DVDs of Galaxy Angel season 1. I should really watch it again and find the other DVDs. _________________

lol its funny seeing all the main stream anime that people are just getting into.
I was watching bleach when the very first ep came out, i remember showing friends in school the episode and theyd be like omg thats awesome, had 9 friends watching it uptil the bounto arc.
Recently, like this weekend i ended up finishing Code Geass, man it was pretty awesome, didnt affect me how other animes have but its just go so many awesome elements to me that it was great.
Cool mecha fights, lots of mecha, special powers, epic battles and awesome story twists. 720p quality too so looked good too.
Recently watched FLCL again, that was as good as always.
Watched Mai Otome Sifr or whatever it was, the 3ep OVA, was a nice continuation of the Mai* series, like 60 years after mai otome or w/e.
I really want to watch Eureka seven at the moment but the 50 episode length is scaring me, but a movie is coming out in a few days/weeks that summarises the series so i might just wait for that and absorb welcome to the NHK again....
Upon looking at my anime list on this drive, i saw Gunbuster...
damn, that was an awesome technological series for the 80s and Gunbuster 2 had such an awesome twist i cant help but laugh/smile at it but its toooooooo obscure for people to watch.... HINT GAINAX MADE IT SO ITS OF EVA QUALITY OR MORE AND ONLY 6 EPISODES A SEASON

There's a new anime on NHK called 'Guin Saga'.
First episode was kinda slow, kinda boring... But the second episode was awesome.
It's about an amnesiac warrior with a leopard's head, young twins from a destroyed kingdom, and a suitably evil dark lord who's taking over the world.
I don't normally watch anime, but I've been finding it to be really entertaining. The language used isn't too complicated, so even with my limited Japanese I can understand it just fine. It's only three episodes in, but I'm going to continue watching it.
Soundtrack is done by Nobuo Uematsu (dude behind Final Fantasy's music) and it's really nice.
Website here.
English language trailer here. _________________
