Personally, I prefer Animania for a more anime convention (not much an anime fan but I go there for culture alone, wierd but meh!) and has more events for me to have a looky and do prefer the cosplayer there but less stuff to buy though.
That is not to say Supanova isn't that bad, its fun if you have money to spend on merchandise or will to pay for a photo/autograph but other than that... I feel its lacking in events plus a bit too much sci-fi for my liking, lol.
However, I can only say that about Sydney as I never been to Brissy one. Just my input, lol.

As per usual, I'll be at all the Supanovas.
Brisbane in terms of crowd is probably the most enthusiastic of the four, but I have to admit that Perth's last year was pretty good.
Now that Supanova has added Perth to their locations, gives me another reason to go back. Catching up with some old friends in Perth is always good.
For cosplay/anime Melbourne's Manifest, I find is probably more renowned for that.

Well lets have a time and place to meet up both days maybe?
I'm going both days. All we have to do is meet each other, then we know faces and can do what we want from there. Although I'm sure I would recognise a few of you guys (eg Mangaman because I met him last year and Itachi because I've seen a billion pictures of him), and a few of you would recognise me. But not everyone has posted pictures and stuff, and thats understandable its the internet and a lot of people would be uncomfortable with that.

Well where do you guys think is the least crowded place?
I think defiantly not where all those shops and stuff are. So maybe outside somewhere or inside that hall place.
And yeah I'm not sure I will be going by train either.
EDIT: Wait Ciel, you work for Supanova?
EDIT EDIT: Oh and if so can you get us all in early? =D

Me too but way early start to set up our booth.... I think I'll be there around 8am depending what when can get done on the friday night. The doors open at 10 i think. Best if you guys do plan on a meet up place and time cos it's crazy busy for the first couple of hours before the cosplay starts.

I'll be there whenever I can get my lazy ass out of bed. We usually have our booth set up on the Friday night, or rather try to.
Most likely I'll be there some time before 9am, as doors open at 10am and usually 1hr before is enough for any last minute preparations.
My booth? After all finding it, is half the fun. Lapzod knows my booth. It's usually the insanely crowded one. 
Feel free to say hi and as Pixie said spend up big ... and I may have a surprise just for Itachi  , him being into J-drama and all (below is a clue).

Ok I have had a plan to find each other, with no time or location needed. All you have to do is wear a simple to make paper hat, everyone knows how to make these. But what we do is get one of those uber PALGN graphics design people to make a template so our paper hats have PALGN on them somewhere (and the logo and all that fancy stuff), and maybe even our names somewhere else
And we wouldn't even look out of place because its supanova
